Do we credit bank in debtors control account?

Just want to understand. So the transaction for bad debts R1105 doesn't decrease our Debtors list?
asking because in my textbook example, bad debts reduced debtors list.

Why didn't you put bad debt in the Debtors list?
Bad debts are amounts that probably won't ever pay so you just write off the amount the debtor owes
