I just don't understand why this air-cooled diesel wasn't adapted for more configurations to be used on the roads. Only known of these engine in the Deutz tractors 🚜 I have seen here in the USA 🇺🇸 😊
It is an incredible engine, it never breakdown. This engine never do high temperature. Sometimes, it can't start on cold weather, we used to make small fire in air filter :) my father used to carry passengers in İstanbul with Magirus - Deutz minibus. Finally, this motor is very very noisy. Therefore my father's ears hears little :/
Там в головках цилиндров стоят свечи накала. Без их использования холодный двигатель плохо пускается и при +20. После установки второго аккумулятора и перевода бортовой сети на 24 вольта двигатель начал уверенно пускаться в мороз.
4 cylinder 912 loved building them at aircool diesel services in speke, liverpool. Simple and run forever. I wasn't a fan of the newer stuff like the 1012/1013 they were no where near as robust as the 912/3 engines... Used to love doing the 413's too they where one of my favourites to overhaul... Too much electronics on the new series they brought out for the emission regulations... The 1011's I liked working on but once the pistons picked up the blocks got binned in our place... We didn't mess about. They where... You you can't beat the good old deutz as long as people do not disconnect the belt switch alarms 🤭🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘
Thanks, was thinking about this vehicle for a long time since I first readed about it in 1983 soviet car guide. Saw it with petrol engine at russian channel before, but like true diesel fan more wanted to see diesel version of this vehicle and enjoyed watching it in your video 😂
Полноприводный робик с дойцем - прекраная машина . Из проблем с запчастями - долго искал стёкла , остальное всё можно найти , даже бу запчасти с огромным запасом прочности . Убить его оч сложно , разве что воды залить вместо масла и солярки . Спасибо прфессору автонаук Флексу за видео .
We had a big Deutz V8 with a log grab on the back for transhipping loads in the yard, big, impressive brute of a machine. I miss the days of no sensors etc.

That car is very known in eastern germany. Usually we call it LO, not Robur. LO is a shortcut in german (luftgekühlter Ottomotor) that means "aircooled 4stroke engine." That car here is a so called LD, with an aircooled diesel engine. If the engine is made by Deutz it's a rare one of a set of 300 cars produced after the fall of the wall in east germany.

Кто хочет, могу снять ролик про ROBUR, который у меня имеется, но модефицирован мной. Получился точно зверь. Так как он заднеприводный, я подкатил под него ходовую часть от ГАЗ-63. Стартер на 24, оборудование на 12v, не совсем хороший стартер, я его переделал чисто под бендекс. А запускаю его, не поверите, двигателем ИЖ-Ю 5.
We have Tugs in the Airport with that engine, it's a 3.0L 4 cyl. Unkillable, same rattles 🤣 Cold start, foot to the floor, haven't done that but some ppl don't care. 50 Hp 1 gear italian visco transmission. Mulag Comet 3 D check it out.
Про крышки клапанов, что от магируса не скажу, а вот плунджерная пара от него встаёт как надо, на ROBUR е они на 8мм. А на магирусе на 9мм, это внутренний диаметр. У меня такая по сей день работает.

I'm just thinking, is it the LO (L for air-cooled and O for petrol engine) 1800 or the 2002 with 69 hp or 72 hp. The Robur had a small disadvantage, it has a direct steering, so no servo or steering assistance. On the bottom left next to the driver's seat, the two levers, are the differential locks and off-road reduction. What is missing is the small mount for the compressor to inflate the wheels yourself. The bracket is right at the front when you open the front engine cover. The box body is angular, probably a staff case. Although the LO only has relatively small wheels, it is surprisingly good on the terrain.

@@tonydyvr thnx, could not figure it out for a long time. then finally found a video where there were Estonian numbers. it was just very interesting, because the area is Eastern European, and some devices with Russian inscriptions, but it was obvious that the country belongs to the European Union, the car park is peculiar.
might be crusty but I like my Deutz Air Cooled Motors :-) and old expensive still 6 volt fat battery maybe you can revive them with some chemical treatments car batteries have acid only do it as if you had some chemical science class
