- 23 competitors navigating their way through our warehouse obstacle course to try and crown themselves the Surf Skate Race Track Champion! We were moving and our warehouse was empty so we setup the course, wrangled some team riders and staff, then had them pick a Surfskate to set the fastest time. Everyone left happy but there could only be one champion! Who will it be?

I have a Landyachtz Butter Lines. I use the the longer wheelbase. Tried it back-to-back with a Waterborne adaptor. The Landyachtz is bushing-based and works like a surf-cruiser instead of a spring-based surfskate or a Waterborne. The tunable rebound is excellent, simpler and easier to maintain than some other systems.
If the pivot cup squeaks, used soap or paraffin wax. The stiff deck works well for pumping and tight carves. I love mine.

OMG! This was so amazing and hilarious to watch. The commentating was bang on and full of colorful moments with lots details as the race wore on. The Riders were stoked and to ready to get down and Rip it Up! I loved the individual stats on all the Riders. The course looked really fun and quite functional with fast and slow spots, well planned out track. And in the end, well the fastest Surferskater Won! You'll have to watch to find out! Can't wait for the 2023 Contest...maybe I'll enter!
Hey I have an idea for you guys. You should do little tracks like this but on different boards and use that to kind of show how different setups and shapes will ride a little different even around the same track and maybe that can help some people get a better insight on a setup before they decide to buy it.

I own a Butterlines and even after taking it apart cleaning all the components and applying oil the bushings still squeak like mfckrs! It’s so annoying! I’m pissed with the purchase of my first and last Landyachtz
Try using shaved bar soap instead of oil on all points of contact on your bushings. Oil isn't thicccc enough and soap does the trick perfectly. Super smooth and silent ride.

@@Miguelito0oO hmmm it may be that the hardware connecting your trucks to your board are loose. That is a common problem with new landyachtz boards in my experience. If you tighten them down it might help. I've owned and recommended their boards for a long time so it seems out of character for them to put out something bad.

I didnt discover surf skating until like a month and a half ago. I built a tight cruiser board for riding through city traffic but ended up riding slalom style down the trail by my house more often and then started loosening up my trucks, I started with a rip stick like motion and then finally learned how to properly pump. You dont need actual surf skate trucks, i run some regular cruisy Independent trucks, it's more about technique and seeing da bois running the same route a few weeks apart is cool as fuck. Please don't be done making content.
Landyachtz don't make surfskates. If you want to buy a real surfskate have look at Yow, Carver, Smoothstar, Waterborne, Slide or other similar companies that have a spring in the front truck. That spring makes all the difference.
