L.A. anchorwoman Jamie Douglas (the stunning Morgan Fairchild in her big screen debut) has it all: a glamorous career on a top-rated news show, a luxurious house in the hills, and a devoted young admirer named Derek (Andrew Stevens). I wish this movie didn't do so poorly. This movie is why stalker laws are in place.

in reality, when derek was thrown into the wall, hitting head first, no way he would stayed up, that would have hurt like hell!! also, no way he would have been constantly adjusting his camera lense the entire scene since he was always the same distance from her when taking pics.
That is when a stud double is used or good editing !!

I think the handsome actor should've played the boyfriend and the more rough looking guy should've played the stalker. The actors should've switched roles
It wouldn't work because the stalker would not be good looking so there would be no mutual physical attraction like at the beginning of the movie when she first saw him which made her reactions pretty mellow to the stalker. This scene was where she first realized that he's really crazy, that's why she looks confused.
@@joemilo2710 I agree, but also think Michael Sarrazin (who played the boyfriend) was really good looking too. He was a bit older in this movie, but Google earlier pictures of him, especially from "The Reincarnation of Peter Proud." In the 1970s he was in a long-term relationship with the beautiful actress Jacquelin Bissett.
@@BeYounique...Maryanne I would say Sarrazin was not a classically good looking guy like let's say Cary Grant or Marlon Brando for example. He was more good looking down to individual taste. I remember when I was young seeing him in that famous movie with Jane Fonda and thinking they could've found a nicer looking actor to co-star. :)) Here he looked above average, for his age, but not on Andrew Steven's level. I think Stevens was a nice pick for the stalker role, he has those blue steel eyes that can look scary when showing anger and rage or when showing his psychopathy while he is stalking and focusing on his prey from the shadow. And yeah, Bissett was stunning back in the day :))
@@joemilo2710 We all have different tastes. I never went for the classically good looking guys like Cary Grant or Clark Gable like my mom did. When I first saw Michael Sarrazin on the screen in Reincarnation of Peter Proud and For Pete's Sake, I thought he was so beautiful and had a major crush on him. ... Interesting side note, I had a cousin (RIP) who looked like Andrew Stevens, so I look at him and just see my cousin.
