Yo, I just realized this is now cannotically Danny trejo's battle theme that he can use anywhere he wants, in movies or video games. This is now officially his own theme music
To be fair, he _is_ played by a screen legend in Danny Trejo. And he actually sticks around for the plot instead of being a glorified cameo, as is the case with most celebrity VAs in games.
i did like how they mentioned that all members of the Barracuda were homeless at one point. does make me wonder about dwight's trajectory into becoming one of the most powerful men in honolulu, now living in the fanciest suite of the best hotel in hawaii.
As I love this track for many reasons, first for the aggressive techno characteristic of Shoji and second for making that particular mix with "tropical" or "latin" style music (I don't know how to explain it properly) that results in something very memorable I know that the character in question can fall into the cliché of "bloodthirsty tough guy who when facing his possible death shows his cowardly side" (hence the scene when he pees on himself), but I think that with Trejo's charismatic interpretation it fills him with a lot of personality and along with Yamai, he is one of my favorite antagonists of this game PS: I hope that with the invitation of Danny Trejo in this game is the beginning of future collaborations of RRG with other recognized faces of the "Serie B" or a little bit bigger leagues, I'm anxious to see what they can offer us in the future
What can i say about Dwight? Ruthless yet ike any typical bully, the bravado endswhen he faces someone who can easily outclass him Tough not gonna lie, his third fight had one of the craziest yet interesting scenarios i had seen in this game
I feel like they could've made dwight more unhinged as the game goes on Fight 1: just like this, except when it ends, dwight runs off instead of wetting himself Fight 2: Dwight begrudgingly works with Bryce again, but is growing to dislike Bryce, and got his ass kicked by Ichi again Fight 3: Lani kidnapping, just like in the game, but Ichiban gets away and he's fucking PISSED Fight 4: fuck bryce, fuck everybody, Dwight want Ichi DEAD, like DEAD dead, give him a berserk skill, shirtless, cannot be CC'd, basically turn him into a glass cannon, and make him go out with a bang RGG hire Danny Trejo and this is the best they can give him? Come on dude, Dwight could've been the grudge villain of IW, we had Kuze and Sawashiro, both honorable men, make Dwight absolutely insane and unhinged, doesn't matter how dirty or bloody he get, he'll do as he want because he's Dwight
Dwight Mendez is the only character who based on the English actors in the story while the rest like Yu Nanba, Eric Tomizawa, Eiji Mitamura, Jo Sawashiro, Masataka Ebina and Masumi Arakawa is based on the Japanese actors.
And one of the first major Western names in a series as Japanocentric as Like a Dragon, too. He's quite literally the equivalent of having Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077. And like Keanu, Danny actually gets plenty of time in the limelight as opposed to just being a glorified celeb cameo.
2:47 There, the man-who-would-be-king piss himself as he was utterly defeated by the party. You did that on purpose didn't you? Funniest shit I have seen in an OST video lol.
am I the only one who didn't like that they make Dwight wetting himself? like it's one thing to be comedic but my impression of him was never a person to wet himself in fear
@@TranMinhHuy123 That's the thing. I'm not saying it's unrealistic to wet yourself when you think you're about to be killed, I'm saying that the leader of Barracuda, the gang that shank and nailed a bum to a wall because he bumped into them, isn't as hard-boiled as someone like Ryuji or Nishitani?
I love how Ichiban starts out avoiding the machetes, but once Chitose almost gets cut, he actively moves in and closes the gap

If they make another def jam game they gotta reference this song in some way

new sujimon added to sujidex: mexican
Japanese Eric Andre vs Danny Trejo if you will
Ichiban looks Mexican, Ichijuan!
So cool! I wish Mexicans existed.
He’s a damn hero for it :V
still cant fathom how tomizawa of all people got this man to wet himself
the more i think about it the more i suspect it was part of an act, since he knew revealing his ties to Bryce would mean death.

Giving him 2 machetes and casting Danny Trejo was no coincidence. I see you RGG
That’s what I love about Japanese creators is they are just as obsessed with western pop culture as we are with theirs.
@@DarksaviourAgreed! It bleeds into the media they make too, in an aesthetic or thematic way. It's really sweet.

Danny Trejo dynamic intro, can you imagine that
As I love this track for many reasons, first for the aggressive techno characteristic of Shoji and second for making that particular mix with "tropical" or "latin" style music (I don't know how to explain it properly) that results in something very memorable
I know that the character in question can fall into the cliché of "bloodthirsty tough guy who when facing his possible death shows his cowardly side" (hence the scene when he pees on himself), but I think that with Trejo's charismatic interpretation it fills him with a lot of personality and along with Yamai, he is one of my favorite antagonists of this game

I love it too, the strings make the song melodic, but at the same time the techno part brings this feel of danger to it.

Now RGG needs to get Jackie Chan to be a villain in the next game

This dynamic intro goes hard af, they actually showed how Ichiban teammates fight outside of his imagination
Giving him machetes. Absolutely perfect. I love how nerdy for Western films the Japanese are.
Danny trejo is no stranger to video game characters
I played with Japanese dub for my first playthrough but immediately thought about Danny Trejo when seeing Dwight
Come on ese! Come at me!

Danny Trejo's 79 in the real world, so it's funny to imagine Dwight is the same age and does this shit

What an awesome intro to the fight man. RGG really knows how to get you pumped for boss fights that’s for sure.
