Man I just subscribed I live in Northern California and I fish all the lakes you go to and of course the delta but Ive always Enjoyed fishing shows on TH-cam unfortunately 90% of the time was always back East or in Texas somewhere I’m not from so it’s good to see somebody doing stuff locally where I’m from I rather enjoy your videos and I have subscribed 😊 keep ur tip up bro can’t wait for more videos
I’ve gotta say your videos have been getting better and better! Love the drone shots and all the hard work you put into your vids. I just got my first fishing kayak yesterday and I love it!
Greg, exactly why when I researched, then purchased my kayak. I set a 6k budget. So I could purchase, 10.5 PDL, with a, square stern, rudder system, leaving room for that Torqueedo, my electronics, batteries, Etc.. I fish 2 lakes usually, being my 1st season. I can get away from boat traffic and water jet skies. But I'm actually practicing for next summer, for any tournamants I can fish. And I'm glad to watch you fish. You're one of the best mentors and fish with, lots passion and patience!! Be safe bro.🎣🤟🙏
Great and entertaining vid as always Greg. Sorry you couldn't bring in that 20" to bring you closer to the top but we can't win them all. Thought for sure you were going to throw the jig like you did on practice day.
How is the "weigh-in" done? Do they just use the pictures? If so, how do they verify it was caught that day? Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I think I saw you releasing your keepers.
I rarely see many bass boats in your tournament vids. In local lakes in Alabama, on a Saturday, traffic is pretty heavy. Do you ever factor that into your tournament strategy and if so, how do you adjust? As a beginner kayak tournament angler I've learned a ton from your channel. Thanks for putting in the work and sharing the info!
Definitely. We've been pretty lucky this year with not having too many other boater tournaments go on but I typically try to avoid all crowds in general anyways! THanks for watching man!
Your kayak fishing content is by far the most informative and useful info out there. I'd love to see a vid on your tournament planning and strategy. How you decide where launch and where to fish given the limitations of a kayak. How far your willing to go to avoid the competition and how far you go on average in a tournament.
Looks like a tough day but you still pulled in a limit. Not bad at all man! My last tournament was tough for most everyone as well. Lotta zero’s, I only managed 2 bass that were keepers. 89.75 won it with a best 5 fish. Only 9 people managed a limit out of 70. Most people caught small fish. Loved the drone footage of the launch! Always some great footage from these events.
Greg, I'm really interested in getting into kayak fishing. I just bought a brand new bass boat so I would rather not go all out on a kayak at the moment. I've been reading about Vibe kayaks, specifically the Sea Ghost 13, and wondering if you could give me some input? I'm 6'2"+ and 250lbs. My back isn't the greatest from oil field work so I need a very supportive seat. Thanks for any help provided.
Mark Romero if you're on the west coast they carry them at headwaters in lodi and you can demo them there. They also have a few videos out where the recommend it. Its an all around boat that can do offshore or freshwater all fairly well. As far as the seat... if its not amazing you can upgrade, its a pretty affordable kayak so thats something you can do down the road.
Michael Nicolaysen Thanks Greg. I actually live in Louisiana. I contacted Vibe yesterday and learned none of their kayaks have peddles. I think I will hold out.
Hey Mark. Any kayak with a higher seat should be good for your back. If you have bad knees, I'd avoid pedal kayaks as well. It's hard to say which kayak would be your best fit but I'd find a dealer near you that is willing to let you demo boats and go from there.
I was just out there this pass Sunday for my first time and we had a lot of fish on top water. I just check all my fish and I measure in at 52.50. We was on the other side of the lake tho. Good vid
Thats awesome you’re posting these nice job! I have footage from my angle I need to get uploaded. Are you running a batt pack to your gp? Mine keeps dying and swapping batteries is becoming a pain.
Pretty similiar day for me. I got 3 keepers super early by the launch but one jumped off the board. Plenty of big fish in that area but it was super pressured so i went off toward you and spent 5 hours catching dinks. Hooked my last keeper by the launch coming back in and called it a day. (Me in front of you paddling at the beginning of the video lol)
Greg Blanchard concerned about the wind at big break so I'm a maybe for going but I'll see as the time gets closer. Been a smallcraft advisory there most of the week.
Gotta tighten down the drag on that spinning rod a bit, no? they're constantly pulling line out while your'e reeling, seems to make for a weak hookset.
Lol this being my home lake I been yelling at you to go to my spots lol its so hard to watch. I went out the same day was catching 3s n 4s all day in 30-45 on yr z-drop. Still way to grind out a tough day every tough day I had out on this lake I've gotten my teeth kicked so I'm gonna say you got pretty lucky just catching some rats anyway enjoyed as always 👍🏻🎣
I see you lose quite a lot of fish on the dropshot. I'm in texas so i don't fish much finesse, but you should look into trapper tackle drop shot hooks to help with keeping fish on. If you do try them, let me know what you think. Awesome vid as well. I'm really enjoying your videos a lot because I myself just started fishing kayak tournaments and I'm learning a lot from watching your vids. Keep it up.
I swear by the Rat Ta Tat Whopper Plopper 130 , If you don't have one you should get one.. I don't know what it is but when I throw that top water I catch big ass bass everytime..
/\ free shipping on Ebay.. :) get one Greg you wont be sorry.. something with that color of whopper plopper and that's why the rat ta tat whopper plopper 130 is the best one they have.. rattles too. :)
That big fish was a pike minnow ....or better known in Oregon as a squawfish. I just did a video where I was testing out the LV 500 on these. In Oregon you can get $10 per squawfish the size of the one you caught. Great perseverance by the way!
I'm shocked in those windy conditions you weren't throwing the old reliable chatterbait lol
Lol, I should've!
best kayak bass fishing production out there.. always humble/informative, w great camera placement and footage.
Thanks Hilary! Appreciate the kind words :)

Thanks man, glad you enjoy the content! Tight lines out there.
I’ve gotta say your videos have been getting better and better! Love the drone shots and all the hard work you put into your vids. I just got my first fishing kayak yesterday and I love it!
Thanks Ryan appreciate it man. that's awesome man, go catch some toads!
Greg Blanchard Will do!
Wow, you actually took the time to capture drone footage. It looked pretty cool.
Man... we shared the same struggle Greg!!! That noon wind put the jelly in the thighs! Glad we all made it back to the launch safely!!
Haha, it was tough man! For sure! hopefully big break is nicer to us !
Greg, exactly why when I researched, then purchased my kayak. I set a 6k budget. Man, damien thao always pullin those big ones
Pretty badass drone shots
I always enjoy watching your videos Greg. Helps me keep the fishing withdrawals at bay, while I'm at work.
Thanks for watching, Rich! I feel the same way. My lunch break is usually TH-cam fishing vids.
Great job Greg on grinding out for that limit. See you at Big Break.
Thanks Damian! Congrats on your finish. Keep killin' it man! See you at Big break
Awesome video. That wind kicked my ass that day! Hopefully Big Break will be a little better
Thanks John! I hope so! Windy at big break would be even worse!
Elle est canon ta chaine j'adore regarder tes vidéo c'est un vrai plaisir.
What a tough bite man day of the dinks good job powering through for a limit
THanks man! Such a tough bite but happy to have the limit!
Awesome drone shots!
Good job Gregg. Glad the drone footage worked out. Keep it up
Thanks Mike! Your drone footage is getting a lot of love. I might need to bum some more off of you in future tournaments :)
Greg Blanchard anytime buddy!
I’m curious, so you wear hip waders and a set of water shoes when your out there? How do you keep your bottom half dry when it’s cold out?
What do you recommend throwing up there I’m going Sunday from the bank
It was nice meeting you out at the tournament. Very tough day. I saw myself at the end of your video.
Nice to meet you too! Def a grind out there. Big break should be better!
That was a tough day... yeah, during the summer, you get a lot of those small bass.... even a sqawfish or two lol
Haha, that damn squaw had me thinking I had a 4+ on lol
Great and entertaining vid as always Greg. Sorry you couldn't bring in that 20" to bring you closer to the top but we can't win them all. Thought for sure you were going to throw the jig like you did on practice day.
Thanks man! I tried that jig for a good amount of time but no dice! That's how it goes sometimes!
Awesome tournament. I have to admit that lake does have lots of dinks.
Thanks Dylan! Yes it does!
How is the "weigh-in" done? Do they just use the pictures? If so, how do they verify it was caught that day?
Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I think I saw you releasing your keepers.
at last.... a few on a spinning rig!!!!!
Working hard for that limit!! Way to go! Great video!
Thanks you! So many small fish to weed through I was happy with the limit! Hope Florida is treating you well!
Yes it's treating me very well. Got my first 100+ inch bag for the Lucky Tackle Box June tourney. I'm a happy camper!!
Good grind Grind Greg loved the vid. I ordered and received my shirt thanks!!
Thank you! Awesome and thank you for the order. Hope you like it :)
Haha..when you said prediction...I was expecting...."Prediction?......Pain.."
What a tough day. Well done grinding out the limit!
Thanks Chris! Yeah man tough tough day! happy with just bringing in the 3!
A lot of small fish. It was the same on the other side of the lake. Thanks for video. My supporting roll at the 1:03 mark. 😜
Glad it wasn't just me! haha. Glad you got on some fish, Terrence! See you at Big break!!
You've got some amazing balance skills haha
Haha, thanks man!
Good job Greg. Win it at Big break.
Thanks man! Not able to prefish at all but came in 2nd there last year so I have a little history at least

Tough event for everyone. Wow!
Can't believe you don't throw the spinnerbait. =)
Haha, Ken! I don't own a spinnerbait! Lol
Squawfish, aka pike minnow.. In California, kill them all?
How often do you change your fishing line out on your reels?
maybe once every 2 months
Tough bite I see but you still got that limit! Good job bro
Thanks man! Yeah, i was pretty stoked about that limit (sadly) lol
Looks like a tough day but you still pulled in a limit. Not bad at all man! My last tournament was tough for most everyone as well. Thanks Brandon! Yeah, some tournaments thats just the deal. Ironically I actually prefer the tournaments that are a little "tougher" lol
Hey, you should come 🎣 lake Amistad in del Rio tx . You will love it!!!
Oh mannn, I would love to!
Greg Blanchard hopefully sometime soon and good food too lol

Nice man! You woulda won some serious cash with that score for our tournament!
Thats awesome you’re posting these nice job! I have footage from my angle I need to get uploaded. Are you running a batt pack to your gp? Mine keeps dying and swapping batteries is becoming a pain.
Thanks TIm! Yep, battery pack to the GP so it runs all day. Definitely a game changer!
Try throwing a 10” worm in plum zoom ol monster never fails me in summer
Not a bad limit on a hard day way to stay grinding great video
Thanks man! I was definitely happy to catch that 3rd keeper.
Great video with that overcast and wind I would've went to a spinner or chatter bait or a Texas rigged craw or brush hog great video tho
Thanks man!
Another great video Greg!!!
Thanks, Doug!

Haha, thanks brother. COme on out to Clear lake this august.

did you get that last one on a spinner?
Good stuff man! I'll hopefully cya at big break!
dthao92 no I got the last one on a drop shot right on the teansition between mudline and clear water.
Greg Blanchard concerned about the wind at big break so I'm a maybe for going but I'll see as the time gets closer. Been a smallcraft advisory there most of the week.

Haha thanks man. I was happy with the limit. Those giants the day before may have been a bad thing for me to see!
great! waht is ur fishing-finder?
Dice TV Raymarine
You need to throw a Whopper Plopper.
What rod do you use for the big swimbait?
A flipping stick. G Loomis flip/pitch 7'5''. It's not a the ideal rod for a swimbait but it's what I have at the moment

Man, way to grind it out for a limit. Tough day.
Thanks, Warren. For sure. I was happy with the limit!
That fish is a walleye
way to grind it out
Thanks Xavier! It was definitely a grind
found me at 1:22 haha
Why did you cap the tourney?
Carson's Outside Adventures The lake capped it at 100.
It might have been easier if you tightened the drag of your spinning reel a liiiittle bit more
Excited and sad to see the sport grow so much
Couldn't agree more
Lol
Dude you look like Jeffrey yang! Are ya twin?
Hey Greg
Hey man!
Really enjoy it. Let's check woodprix plans also.
Pike minnow
You got big break man I believe.
Hope so man. Came in 2nd last year and I have a pretty good understanding of that area so we shall see!
Good try man
melones don't know why you wasn't throwing top water there. you went to the wrong side of the lake
