I just returned from Sydney a week ago. I live near Los Angeles, and have for more than 40 years, and although Sydney is a large international city, it was such a wonderful place to visit. I travel a lot but Australia is a wonderful country. I spent more than a week in the city and saw maybe 10 homeless people that didn't bother anyone and kept their stuff organized and out of the way. I saw only a few police officers and had zero problems throughout the entire city. It was so refreshing to know that there are places that are huge tourist attractions and highly populated that are so free of crime and issues. The streets and areas were clean, the food was amazing, and there is so much to do there. I travel a lot and Sydney is one of my top destinations in the world. Thank you Australia for being so great.
This comment is really sad. The homeless people 'didn't bother anyone and kept their stuff organised and out of the way' - what an odd requirement for homeless people. They are homeless, they are suffering. We should SEE them and they should ask for help if they need it. Americans have a terrible attitude towards the homeless. Terrible, terrible. 'I don't want to see it'. Awful. There is crime in Australia btw. I've visited America and also saw zero crime but it's not reflective of your country is it?

oh man brings sooo much memories, i remember back in the 90s going to the cinemas on george st and the heading down to darling harbour.... the last time i was there back 10 yrs ago has taken a whole new different look. need to return

Sydney exhibits glamour and glitz. God bless the city's authorities. Humanity must focus on providing such glitzy and heart warming ambiance and not fomenting and fanning stupid conflicts and wars. Thank you, amazing Sydney!
Sydney is amazing city. You can walk all around, in, on, through, over, under the city so easily and comfortably. Traffic is minimal. Bike lanes are also provided. Trash bins every corner. Trees and flowers are everywhere. Chairs, benches and resting corners for tired legs are plenty. Cafes and their smell of coffee adorned the streets. Amazing foods from all over the world can be found abundant.
As a Bangladeshi I know from my teenage that Australia is one of the safest country of the world 🌎. Sydney is a famous name for us. Australia means Sydney in my mind. It's great opera house photo is famous in the worldwide. Show us your town - day by day. Salek. Dhaka. Bangladesh.
