Its not that weird when working Security I had 10h shifts
12 hours shifts are kind of common on some posts. I used to work a job like that. Worked 12 hours for 4 days, then got 3 days off. Was kind of nice, actually.
Ive had friends working in hotels and they had 12hr shifts, schedules like from 11 to 11 regularly. And I've done occasional 13hr shifts.
Kinda late to the party, but you can actually survive all 3 nights if you waste no time running to the exit.
Night 1: If you reach the main hall in time, Walter finds you and says the stereotypical "You look like you've seen a ghost."
Night 2: If you run straight away to the exit once the ghosts appear, Walter finds you outside and chews you out for leaving early.
Night 3: Once you leave your "room", the Chase is timed, you must rush to the exit immediately.
bit late to the party, but does the ending change depending on if you escape the third night? or even change for the other 2?

A security guard in a horror game, and the protagonist is named Murphy? The man signed his death certificate when he took the job. Pretty cool little horror game, it definitely made me jump a fair amount of times considering the short length.

I used to be a night shift nurse in a nursing home. I often hear stories about how ppl saw ghost/shadows of deceased ppl at night or in their dreams. Good thing I don't believe in ghost but still it does get kinda lonely at night, but then again, I have my cellphones, and that distracts me from overthinking these kinds of things.
People have very vivid and fanciful imaginations, especially where death is concerned.
I find it funny that a nursing home would be haunted but a place of actual horrors like Auschwitz isn't, even though virtually everyone who goes there finds it profoundly horrifying and rightfully so.

I don’t know if I’m the only one who noticed this but before the jump scare with the security cameras, there’s a painting with a yellow face and it looks like it’s pointing and laughing at the main character, just thought it was an interesting observation

heya manly will you play "doll eye" sometime? it's a pixel rpg with a ,very, unique artstyle. it was made by a fairly popular animator on here who goes by the name of twisted-doctor, it's currently a wip but chapter 1 is out now! (also there are some animated scenes, they're extremely smooth, i can say that)
Ehh.... That animator's had a fair bit of drama around them from what I've heard. Also they tend to use a lotta bright colors so it may not do well for the audience that can't watch stuff like that. It seems cool but I'm just not sure how that would go over well with people who have issues with the artist (or dev, in this case)

What a beautiful soundtrack. What a horrible night to have a guard job. You see the crack house, you enter the crack house, you see notes made by crack heads, and you are surprised when you find some crack and meth head haunting the place? I'd seriously look into getting some dental. The poor things almost out of teeth to show unknowing vagrants and Murphy's being ripped from its head.
Depressing ending tbh i feel bad for all the security gaurds and the rest of the victims in general.

This was pretty creepy overall. I was also impressed with the voice acting - it fit the aesthetic & kind of 80's vibe perfectly.

Once was watching a burned apartment complex
One location that I have to guard is a warehouse I have to watch with 2 other buildings and they are just as creepy being dark and compact or dark and open so yeah a good mix.
The only time I'm supposed to turn on lights is for emergencies such as injuries, fires, or other activities that happen inside.
You could say I should turn on lights but their the type where i have to turn them off at the same location and again be in darkness.
It's not that bad but watching Manly play these games really keeps me awake and on edge

Murphy the cop? There's a joke somewhere in here for Murphy's Law
This is definitely one of the better indie pixel-horror titles out there. They did a great job of establishing the cyclic nature of the house's MO, as well as giving a proper explanation as to why they didn't just straight-up demolish the place (freaking awful neighborhood, no one is going to build there, and no one wants to foot the bill for the teardown... A tale as old as impotent/ulterior political declarations of civil/social altruism -like how they're "going to clean up this town."
As simple and uncomplicated as the plot might be, it's actually pretty reasonable, it doesn't grate relentlessly across trope nerves, and most importantly it's not "kiddy-horror" starring yet another "scary mascot."
I give it a B+, because it's not only decent, but it doesn't wear out its' welcome.
The music is so unsettling...
10:50 I wouldn't have put the face on the screen a second time. The first time gave us a look at the creature before the body horror of the nail being pulled off and tooth being pulled out. The second look at the face, especially with the tears and the shaking was pretty comical.
