the system they had on Nanamagari was very clever back then Starting in around 1992-1993, when cars had enough power to transition corners reliably (prior to this, most people gripped up and re-initiated) they started to park on the corners going downhill, once the uphill traffic was clear, they'd dash to the next corner, and then rinse repeat until they made it back down to the 1st hairpin to turn around. Doing this allowed uphill traffic to transition their drifts while keep the downhill traffic moving. Anytime someone spun out, people with CB radios would alert others, and everyone would honk to let uphill traffic know of the hazard. With all of this, I don't think I've seen a single video that's shown a collision at Nanamagari, despite the tightly packed route, only people wiping out or solo crashes.
Lovely that old VHS tapes like this arent forgotten in 2024. This is the first new 90s togue video I have seen this year :). Hope eight six prices drop tho, i wanna be able to afford one once I got my license
86 prices won’t drop! The car is nearly half a hundred years old, loved by most enthusiasts, lots of people want them yet every passing year more get wrecked or rust away making them even harder to obtain. Unless you mean a new 86 :p
you might get lucky and be able to find one without rust, it may need some work done on it if it’s a cheap price though. Cheap being less than 10,000 (rarely 5,000) or so. Sometimes people will have them and modify them as a project car, you might get lucky and find someone who’s done this and is selling it cheap because of the modifications (there’s always the chance that the person didn’t do such a great job installing the modifications). It’s really just risk, knowing that you could end up with a spectacular find, or one that requires a ton of work to get running right. I say do your research and see about going for it, you only live once!
also don’t let prices fully deter you, you can get lucky sometimes if you look hard enough. If it’s missing a few things but everything else is fine I’d go for it, you can save up to afford to replace the missing things later on.
@@Ice-dp6qk 5k is crazy, although I’d assume it wasn’t in great condition. Completely beat up 86s where I’m from go for around 10k. Mint examples can push into the 20-50k range
Actually this is why Japanese cars are light rather than heavy and have a lot more shorter gear shifts in comparison to the same year ford cars but sure
Did you know those at the top that tell you about electric cars, while they also promote and encourage conflicts all over the world, they don't tell you what they use for those conflicts they contaminate way more than a big city full of cars? Given they sell those things that contaminate a lot, they also make money out of them.

Single lane drifting when there's oncoming traffic is so clean omg they were built different back then

Back when cars had lower power and less advanced tire technology. Plus they are going up hill so the speeds are pretty low and stay low. Awesome.
Actually this is why Japanese cars are light rather than heavy and have a lot more shorter gear shifts in comparison to the same year ford cars but sure
I miss the 90s...

Based Timmy, hope he gets a manual when he turns 18
That single lane drifting with the oncoming uphill traffic also drifting is insanely impressive
That's the best part and why driving in traffic gives you same adrenaline and you can't speed past the speed limit usually lol
