    Thank you doctor. I am waiting 18 days for my bypass surgery. I am weak and tired most days and feel a bit nauseous. I have no heart damage but the artery behind my heart is 100% occluded. Heat Cath failed for a stent. I am told the surgeon will fix my Afib and a few other things. I have watched a open heart surgery so I know what to expect! I am , as you say, anxious about aftercare at home! You make me feel better about my biggest concern.

    • @lmonnette4037
      @lmonnette4037 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I wanted to update that my surgeon did a Triple Bypass and Afib Ablation. When I got back to the critical care room my ung collapsed! Took four hours to stabilize me. I stayed 7 days. Started out with 15 liters of oxygen and wanted myself off by the 7 th day. The surgeon was impressed with my tenacity! For women facing surgery go to
      Amazon or a bra specialty shop and buy a couple of post surgery bras. If you are big busted the surgeon will want you to wear a bra 24/7 the first few months till incision is healed. To not wear one may pull the incision apart. Be vigilant in doing things for yourself. When you get home do not sweep, vacuum, scrub floors or do any pulling and/or over ten pounds! I tried once and was in pain for two hours!!!!!
      Have the family do laundry and housework the first six weeks. It’s your time to heal and just start the walking routine.
      You will do great with perseverance and determination!
      The hardest thing for me was the collapsed lung. If I have asthma issues it still can hurt that lung to cough.
      Good luck y’all!

      @@lanceowencao8687 at the bottom of the scar when I bend so I can’t really bend entirely. I can’t really say it’s a chest pain but it’s more of a muscle discomfort on the left most part of the chest. I asked my doctor about it and said as long as it doesn’t radiate. It’s been four months going to five and I can truly say that it’s not completely healed. I can’t run yet, much more surf. I always use my bicycle though. Like I said, still recovering ❤️‍🩹
