Good morning ladies! You can tell I'm not in the UK as I say this! More of my trip later. We'd love to hear all about your flat shoe preferences and what you like to style them with in our community here. Lots of love. Deirdre. XX
I am currently wearing a pair of flip flops that my aunt gave me. I can't describe them in a way that would do them justice, except to say they are metallic. By the way, you look beautiful in that mustard dress and flats. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for this video. Some of the fashion videos that I have watched make fun of or exclude flat shoes. Very frustrating for those of us that have to wear flats. When I want to attend an event it is either nice flats, orthopedic shoes or simply not attend. Thank you for these tips. ❤
Thank you! You are by far the BEST fashion blogger on You Tube i love you're advice, it always confirms what i might be thinking and considering myself.Have a wonderful holiday! xx
Hi Deirdre! I love the mustard dress and shoes! Absolutely stunning! Those Vivaia shoes look great and if they're as comfortable as you say they are...
So happy to hear this video! I have an issue with my feet where I’m only able to wear one brand of shoe due to the foot bed, which means I’m nearly 100% of the time in sandals. I appreciate this very much.
Hi I am new to finding you. Love all your ideas, to me they are common sense, not wacky ideas! and also you get straight to the suggestions without too much chatter. Thanks Deidre, although my bank balance is not that happy! X
Thank you Deirdre for your very useful info. I just discovered Vivaia as well and this are the best and most beuatiful shoes I have had in a long time. Greetings from Belgium 👍👌💥💯
Oh this was a much needed video Deirdre, thank you. The vivaia shoes look so stylish yet comfortable, I’m at the stage where flats are needed on a day to day basis and heels and wedges are car to bar 😄 Are the vivaia shoes true to size or do we go up or down….always a dilemma when ordering on line. Many thanks. Hope you’re having a great time in u.s. 🌸
With a very long foot, 12, I think rounded toes might work better with my 5'5" height. Love flats or up to 2" Block heels. Appreciated your suggestions.
Hello Deirdre! This video is especially important to me, for health reasons I can't wear high heels. I loved the yellow shoes and the golden sandals, an essential item this summer. Enjoy your stay in the USA. 🌞
First time watching you! Very well done thank you I really need this advice due to back problems and always wore heels thinking that was the only way I would look "professional" or "sexy" or "feminine". I've been trying to shift my brain and this helped!
I have that Lily Silk dress in the pale pink, it’s lovely. Yellows and oranges are on my No list for colors, but look good on you. I was amazed at how great you looked in orange against that turquoise Mediterranean, in one of your holiday videos.
Hello Deirdre, Love your graceful and elegant style💯 . Such classy looks, so chic🥰 Ty. Always great videos. ? Do you know how when their anniversary sale ends?!!
Hi Dierdre, I'm with our community on this one, I wear flats or low heels now, the highest heel is 2"and I love my ankle boots! I recently purchased white ankle boots 2" block heel. Im sure they will be fun to style up! But for now, its summertime, i wear ballet flats, sandals, i even have a pair of white lace trainers that are so cute with dresses or summer trousers! Judi. xx 🇨🇦❤🇬🇧
I love flat shoes because I’m not that sure-footed anymore. Flat shoes or very low heel is just perfect for any outfit. I’m 78 and now mostly wear very comfortable and beautiful white sneakers.
I love my new Sezane “Babies” in the pinky nude. They are super flattering, elegant and comfortable with their block heel of about 2.5”. These are what I choose for wearing with my better dresses, for evenings, etc. They are quite dressy enough for any California occasion, but look great for everyday, too. I haven’t seen a woman actually wearing higher (3-inch or higher) stiletto heels here since the mid-90s or so.
Love flat shoes, only problem I have is I suffered from neuropathy. So I can't wear any pointed toe shoes. Need square type style. Find it hard to find dressy type style shoes. Any suggestions for flat style shoes? Help!
Even though I’m only 5ft tall I wear flats almost exclusively. I just don’t like high heels, they hurt my feet badly. And, I’m older and retired so have no need for a very professional wardrobe. I wear loafers with jeans or ballet flats. I do have 2 pr of low heeled ankle boots that I wear with jeans in the fall and winter. I wear flat slide/sandals or flip flops all spring and summer and into early autumn. Sometimes autumn doesn’t really end until into Nov. here where I live. I’ve bought quite a few cute dresses for this summer. My legs are still pretty but at 65 I suddenly don’t want to wear shorts in public much. Plus, tee shirt dresses and long, thin, knit or cotton dresses are much cooler in Alabama because it’s very humid as well as hot . I agree that heels do elevate an outfit, but my life is very relaxed and simple….also, at 65, I don’t really care any more about “dressing up”.
I tried Vivaia Aria shoes. Alas, they were NOT comfortable for me. I think if you have a high arch, they aren't a great shoe. Maybe in the hemp fabric, but not the recycled bottles. I've had one pair for a year and they still aren't comfy for any kind of serious walking. JMO. I reaally do like the wide color selection. That is a huge plus for that brand! I tihnk ballet shoes, in general, are hard to wear. That aren't as comfy as one would think. They tend to cut right overr the delicate bones on the top of your foot. I do agree with you Deirdre that a more elongated toe is very flattering!!!
Really enjoyed this but wanted to ask for advice. I'm in my early 60s and have had a history of fracturing my feet, not because I've fallen but because I've stepped on stones or uneven ground and my foot has just gone over, so no more pretty shoes for me. I have to wear closed shoes that hold my feet very firmly. These shoes although needed are quite cumbersome looking and I'm wondering how I can wear them and still feel like I look nice and well dressed. To add to the issue, I'm quite petite and only 4 foot 8 inches. Thanks for your video.
I would say wear white trainers with as many outfits as you can. They are in style and look great. Also look for a great nude or skin colored shoe that is flat and gives you the support you need. They are out there you just have got to look and even try on. It may not be exactly what you want but it should give you versatility you are looking for. Unfortunately as we age we must do whatever is best to stay independent. Another thing I heard of is to start your outfits first with the shoes. So pick out the shoes you need then the outfit that works best with them. I thought this was a very helpful suggestion. Hope this helps you. It did for me.
I think your ginger ballet shoes come to high on the crown of your foot !you need a pair that are lower cut , to show the beginning of your toes ! Thus will be far more flattering ! Your ballet shoes are frumpy !
I never could wear heels 3-inches or higher, I think it’s because my feet are so short that the angle is just too steep. I love 2-2.5-inch heels, wedges, etc., the extra height gives me back the confidence I lost when I discovered three years ago that I’m not 5’6” anymore (i’m 63). I’m only 5’4”, no wonder I looked heavy at the BMI I calculated for that height. I took the extra weight off, too, that helps one’s aspect ratio.
Great tips Dierdre! The only option that I am adamant about are flip-flops. In my opinion, they belong on the beach. There is nothing more unattractive than someone dressed beautifully (man or woman) and then you look down at their feet and you see flip-flops. It ruins the outfit. There are so many other options, as you have demonstrated, if one has problem feet. Ladies, peave your flip-flops for the beach.
Yes, feet, indeed deserve and need attention. Friday nights is the official, groom, care and get them ready for walksbeau summer food aloufs sandals, slips and flipflops. Make your feet beautiful always.
I only wear flat shoes and cannot wear pointy shoes. I have wide feet and a bunion😢. Pointy shoes that squash your toes are so bad and they cause the bunions. So style has to lose out to comfort and pain free walking. 😂.

Hi Deirdre! I love the mustard dress and shoes! Absolutely stunning! Those Vivaia shoes look great and if they're as comfortable as you say they are...
Thank you so much, Celia. They really are like walking on air!! Xx
Im loving your videos. Can you do one on backless loafers and low wedge sandals please. 🥰🥰
Hi Deirdre. I wear flat shoes with everything. I am an older girl and no more heels. Heels were a torture, especially in Europe on those cobblestones.
Great tips on flats! Thanks so much! Just found and subscribed to your channel 🥰
A big welcome. Xx
I know you hear this all the time, but you are beautiful inside and out . 😊 Thank you for making the rest of us fashionable.
So happy to hear this video! I have an issue with my feet where I’m only able to wear one brand of shoe due to the foot bed, which means I’m nearly 100% of the time in sandals. I appreciate this very much.
Great tips !! Miss the tip on what shoes to wear with shorts though...
Love your video. Yes, flats 95% for me, too. The rest of them are heels like those of the Princess Royal, my generation😉
Good ideas.
Great video, thank you, Deirdre for signposting me to this ❤ Fabulous shoes!!
I will definitely be taking on board these tips, best wishes
Hi I am new to finding you. Love all your ideas, to me they are common sense, not wacky ideas! and also you get straight to the suggestions without too much chatter. Thanks Deidre, although my bank balance is not that happy! X
Just picked up a pair in the nude peach! Love your videos.
Love the gold strappy sandals!
Lovely video! I appreciate had a script if you are, these concepts make a lot of sense. I learned that I actually tend to prefer chunky shoes!

This is a important video. Some of us must wear flat shoes. I am among those who cannot wear heels.
Absolutely! Xx

This video will be helpful for a lot of ladies , I can only wear flats nowadays, really helpful 👍
I'm so pleased you found it helpful, Joan. XX

Great video! I needed this!
Can you review trainers with dresses and trousers as they are very popular atm. Thx
Also I love your pink shirt, where can I buy one please?
Love the beautiful dress on you, I do have a few pairs of vivaia shoes ❤
Great tips! Thank you :)

Love the ginger dress on you. Flats are fine by me, if they are comfortable and stylish. Be well, Gloria
Love the shape of the mustard dress what make is it please
It’s Lilysilk actually. It’s so soft xx

Great information 😊
I just got the VIVAIA BIBI shoes, and two other styles, a couple of weeks ago. If only I had waited for your discount code!
Oh so sorry xx
Do the wide leg trousers get dirty at the bottom as they are touching the ground
Sorry just liking flat shoes. I’m only 5’1”. Always wear a little height - 1 to 2 inches 😮
I love flat shoes because I’m not that sure-footed anymore. Flat shoes or very low heel is just perfect for any outfit. I’m 78 and now mostly wear very comfortable and beautiful white sneakers.
I totally agree that flat shoes or low heels are perfect and also comfortable. Thanks for commenting, Barbara. XX
Thank you! I just bought two pairs of pointed toe flats. I have a bunion I don’t care to show off.
Great video. BUT everything shown was more light in color. I have a NAVY BLUE tiered mid/maxi dress....would I go nude? or black...or both???
I’ve never been able to wear ballet flats no support and I need a little heel.
Its a new territory for me. I also am wary of their ability to not slip of your foot. Got some ivory ones from New Look with a thin strap across.
Unusual Dierdre to see you in collaboration with a company. It is a sign, to me, of quality with you being so particular. Thanks.
Thank you so much. I am very careful about companies I work with. They need to add value to my subscribers. Xx
Hi Deidre I wear dream pair s shoe they are comfortable same as Viviana other lovely video
Thank you Alana. XX
Thumbs up 👍

Please hem those beautiful white linen pants before the back of the leg at the heel gets ruined!

The company has never sent me a refund for shoes I sent back, trying to figure if I should sue.
This is more a sales pitch for shoes than fashion.
I think it’s pronounced Vi-vay-ah, at least that’s what it says in their logo that you show, not Vi-vye-ah.
I would be very wary of buying these shoes from China. Their returns policy is not good and has bad reviews
