A Straight Martini is much nicer than a shot of either gin or vodka, the dilution shaking with ice, the cold the ice leaves and the lemon take the edge off.
This video is simply beautiful.
For those crying about it being shaken, I promise you in a blind test of shaken vs. stirred, those whining wouldn’t know a difference.
Agreed, but visually it’s the clarity of a stirred martini that is so attractive to martini drinkers
Dunno about that one, a shaken cocktail will have tiny flakes of ice floating on top of it unless it's been double strained. Not saying its better or worse, but definitley a notable difference.
Beautifully done 🎉
My stylish dad's fave in the 70s! ;-)
Great video humble style
That bartender is handsome!
Wait, so you call a Straight Martini a glass of Gin or Vodka? damn.
That's not a martini, it's just a shot of booze.
its diluted@@kuhnhan
If you don’t Like to drink petrol you can try the reverse martini.
a true alcoholics drink... it had ice cubes in it for acouple seconds
theres so many ways to do a martini wild!!
My fav tito's martini dry with a twist but I mean a titio's martini straight might be good, Idk if I need the vermouth I haven't had without will def try
Thank you!
Byotiful; Excellent vid!
Mad skills
I don't have olives in my area so I substituted it for a sauerkraut brine. It was pretty nice.
what shitty part of the world you live in
Lol, so straight up cosmo would also be the same - just vodka? :D
I never heard of bitters in Martinis. I've always just done two ounces of gin and one ounce of vermouth. I'll usually put an olive in.
The bitters was the original way in 1800s
@@sinancothebest It really makes a difference and it’s awesome.
It reflects the Martini’s origin as a variation on the Manhattan.
Classic Martini the best one... I don't know why people like to put as little as possible vermouth in their martini, its good stuff
If I could only find a bartender like 😳
A good proportion is needed, yes.
Never shake a martini of curse! the guess is allways right ✅️ but martinis are never shake if you want to taste and drink the real deal, becouse you are at this point over diluting your drinks 🍸 meaning, your drink lose bodie, and strength, think about whole milk and soy milk 🥛, now think that when you shake your martini, you are putting water 💧 or over putting, without a hand crafted controll, that sterarring allow you to do. So now, instead of drinking whole milk, you are drinking soy milk 🥛 😮😮😮, I know, right? also, the key to make an excellent martini is to keep your martini glass cold 🥶 by inserting ice 🧊 into the cup with water. Once you done , mixing your Vodka or Gin, with drie vermouth, ice, and if the martini is dirty olive juice, garnished with 🫒 olives, then you stir your martini around 20 sec with an spoon bar, and proceed to trow the ice 🧊 from your martini glass and ofcurse your water too, and proceed to pour 🫗 your martini on your ice cold cup 🥤😜 thank me later ( bonus tip) Gin and Vodcka taste different in my case better when they are cold 🥶 they won't freeze because of the alchol levels. So keep your vodka or Gin iced 🧊 cold. Martini needs to be as cold as possible to taste all the properties of your bodka, olive juice if you like it, and dry vermuth.🎉 now you know 🍻🍻
@@jbvalvingshow2051 omg stfu it ain’t that serious. People can have their martinis however the hell they please. Dry, wet, dirty, filthy, shaken, stirred it’s a personal preference.
Little vermouth supposedly makes it ‘drier’, so bartenders do that. You can order a ‘reverse martini’ if you want more vermouth in it for a soaking wet martini
So the 3rd is a shot of Vodka in a martini glass? The deception…
yeah idk how someone could call it a martini
Francois Girbaud
You shaked your martini ?? Gasp lol
Boy thinks he’s Bond.
wearing spectacle i say sedation somehow not
That first one with just a hair more gin than a 3:1…. Looks very tasty.
Monkey 47 gin packs a punch so don’t smoke after you drink that.
Why are you adding bitters to a martini?
Very old recipes call for orange bitters so it’s not totally unheard of, just not the modern recipe.
you hear that?
I take mine shaken, not stirred.
Omggggg
A martini without vermouth is like pouring tequila into a glass, adding nothing else, and calling it a margarita. In other words, straight gin in a martini glass is not a martini.
You cut off the guy's head? REALLY????
The First.....
Lol whoever tells you to shake a martini, give em a good face slap.
Good luck slapping James Bond x)
Good luck slappin’ James Bond….
(Aye, this comment is old…)
Instead of shaking or stirring it to get it nice and cold why can't you just keep the bottle of gin in the freezer?
the ice also provides some dilution, so technically it's not "just" vodka or gin but watered down vodka or gin.
😂😂
You don't want to mess with good liquor!
Actually it's, "no fewer than three." Not less. Less vodka, fewer olives. Do you see how that works?
🤓
This is sooooo wrong.....
Why?
Why?
Actually it is not.
