First, I use Backblaze for backing up my laptop and external drives. Second, a couple of days ago I was working on a PowerPoint and OneDrive would not let me save the changes and gave me the following message, "You’re over your OneDrive storage limit". The message insisted that I must pay to increase my storage capacity. Although I have a 1T hard drive on my laptop with a 2T external drive it would not let me save the file locally. Greedy Greedy Microsoft!

Ever since I reuploaded a Clean Install of Windows 10 a week ago, I have been trying to find out how to disable or remove OneDrive from my PC. I am very glad that I came across your You Tube Video as your simple instructions made it quite easy for me to permanently remove this annoying feature on my PC. My primary reason for removing this app, is that I use several external hard drives to save either documentation and photos and whenever I saved a document that I wrote, I noticed that it was being saved in OneDrive...which is what I didn't want and have nothing to worry about ever again.

I had already disabled the annoying notices (from bottom right task bar) but it is ALWAYS there when saving Word & Excel documents. Even to change it from being the “default” place to save would help immensely. Thank you.
Can you advise on this? - The one drive app is no where to be seen on desktop, in the lower right of the screen or even in the apps list, and yet everything I save to my desktop is being automatically saved to OneDrive via C:\Users\icolg\OneDrive\Desktop. Just make a folder on your actual desktop or on a flash drive Then copy all pictures to that folder they are now on your local aka your laptop in front of you desktop Then u still have then once removing one drive’ Google how to delete one drive without loosing files on local hdd That will show you how

I'm not a Windows user but needed to set it up for a program, then saw that it was copying my files to the cloud. I prefer to back up on my own, I don't need big brother reading my files, I'm pissed that this was even set up. Just evil.
I have removed / uninstalled one drive , yet the process is still active all the time in the background , its never gone , so how can i completely delete it from registry to it wont ever start up again ? the only tool i have found that works is AVG tuneup , where u can put it to sleep atleast but not remove it or stop it , any suggestions ?
I have 2 One Drives on my Windows 10 Lenova laptop. During Covid, I worked from my personal device because my employer did not provide one to me. Now I still have their One Drive and a Share app on my device that I would like to remove but still keep my personal One Drive on my computer. I am concerned that if I remove their drive, will I also remove my own personal drive? I do not want to do that!
OneDrive is not listed on the list of apps in order for me to disable it. In addition, it is not on my taskbar, however it does come up every time I want to save a document or picture. Hello, I've tried this and like Revo programs uninstall but there are ZERO icons that show up in my hidden icons lower right of my pc AND nothing in my start search. Well start search it will if I type it in....but cannot find One Drive in the uninstall part. It's duplicating all my mega photos I have from E-drive my photo original site and depleting my memory and making my pc run like crap. I'm very frustrated with this. I can follow instructions but when the things I need to click on wont show up I'm stuck in the mud again. Any help would be great. Thanks!
When I click on setting on OneDrive it comes up with a completely different looking page. There is no settings tab and I can't uncheck the thing you unchecked. What to do?
I don't have a setting option when I right click One Drive. THere is no option to uncheck box on sign in automatically one drive. When I go to One Drive on Apps I can click uninstall button, another window pops up and just says here are your installed programs, no option to completley removed. OD. Onedrive is causing me a lot of issues with games not loading or saving because the game directory doesnt direct to the onedrive save and setting location.
my documents dissapeared and can only find them when searching for them in the search tab and it shows its under one drive even though i uninstalled it:/
Yeah, it does'nt actually unistall itself.... Starting to think I might have to enter safe mode when I delete, like when you do for viruses. Also I distinctly remember setting it not to start on several occasions, and damn, they keep updating it so it starts up with windows....
I was not seeing the icon in my system tray (lower right) either but if you click the UP ARROW in that area you "Should see" a cloud icon with maybe a red X if you have not signed in. RIGHT click on this and follow the instructions offered here in this video.
and my main issue is i discovered there was error report about sharepoint that it stopped working, no idea why it even tried to run sins i am not logged in to onedrive and its not running, and i deal with sharepoint even less likely then with onedrive, i don't need sharepoint
My docs and everything is still showing as in onedrive, even tho I have uninstalled. It still shows up in my File Explorer. I'm deleting my Microsoft account and it will be gone in 30 days so I'm concerned about what will happen since my Desktop and Documents all show as being Onedrive.
its not that easy, I uninstalled from settings apps section and ascertained that onedrive doesn't exist in the apps section and not existing under control panel, programs, I also used revouninstaller and ascertain that one drive doesn't exist there but the shortcut of onedrive still exist in the start menu and all the installation files of onedrive still exist under USER\user\local\microsoft\onedrive\19.033.0218.0011\ and all those files are never removed.
OneDrive has been uploading and saving all of my files into OneDrive. The windows support person told me that it saved the files in the Onedrive and not my PC, but I see the files listed on my PC desktop screen. is this true? So If I delete a file from the OneDrive it will also be deleted in my laptop because it never saved it in my laptop drive? the files are only saved in OneDrive? I didn't know it was doing that! When I save my files I says "save to desktop" this whole time it was uploading my ENTIRE DESKTOP FILES to OneDrive. It randomly started doing it. I changed the default position of Documents using the registry and it STILL reappears. Some people say to open Onedrive and then select "stop backup" but I don't have Onedrive, since I uninstalled it F*cking unremovable bloatware. No wonder everyone is going to Linux
That damned thing reappears EVERY time the system updates. It is annoying AF!!! It slows down my computer. It clogs up the startup. It has those irritating pop ups! I HATE that APP!!!

It didn't work exactly like he said. But, it was close enough to let me know what to look for to successfully remove that garbage.
