Thanks Dustin, very informative. Hopefully Cisco will be able to work with Zoom for Direct guest join on video devices through WebRTC as what Microsoft MTR devices already does.
This video was amazing, do you have tips/tricks on how to get the highest video quality with a codec to Zoom, we are seeing very small resolutions on zoom and very low frame rates. the laptops are doing a much better job. I would love to use the codecs exclusively, we have SX80's and SX20's. thank you!
Roy, I would recommend reaching out to Zoom support. There was a period when Zoom limited resolutions and bandwidth thru their CRC. I am not sure if that is still the case though.
Hi Dustin, great video. I was trying to get the macros running on a Room Kit but noticed in the github the JoinZoom macro doesn't seem to have the corresponding XML for the button. Is that right or am I just missing it somewhere? I have the Zoom in-meeting panel XML which looks to work but not the Join Zoom button itself
Thank you very much for putting this out there! Great to know that the Webex Devices team has a desire to develop interop. We've had issues getting OBTP working for our Zoom users, and have found that at least one person in the meeting must also have a Webex account before the hybrid calendar service will parse the meeting. I've raised this issue with TAC and with our local account team and been told this is expected behavior - If nobody in the meeting has a Webex account then the meeting won't show up on the device's calendar. Any word from the devices team on this limitation?
Thanks for reaching out! You do not have to have users enabled for Hybrid Calendar to work however you do have to make sure your room mailboxes are enabled and they are receiving the proper information. Take a look at this video which explains in more detail how this would work. th-cam.com/video/Tw2dw0yu00o/w-d-xo.html
@@thecollaboratorywithdustin6232 Awesome, just got in and re-tested it. It's working great. I'm guessing that the Attendee based processing got turned on sometime since I last tested it in June or so. Now if we could only get it to parse the Google Meet SIP address that Pexip puts on the "more joining options" page...
Thanks Dustin, this is great info and ease of use with macro button for Zoom. I noticed that your macro only allowed 10 digits Zoom meeting ID and did not work for me since I have 11 digits. Can you show me where I can update it?
Thanks for this. Struggling with getting this going. was able to join a CRC meeting, but did not get the presentation. only a blank screen. the interop documentation around this integration is weak at best.
@@thecollaboratorywithdustin6232 not yet. First hurdle was zone/trunk config, which I've sorted. then all firewall ports (between zoom, WebEx, wxHybrid & ucmB2B it's a lot). Now that's sorted as well. Going to test again. Thanks for the follow-up
Yes! There is a DTMF menu command you can leverage according to Zoom's Website! It's in the additional options menu -> Option 7! You can find out more here: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005889546-SIP-H-323-in-meeting-menu
How did you get your WebEx room kit that is cloud registered able to connect to the zoom CRC via SIP? Have ours in place and can’t seem to get it to work??
hey dustin, i created icon of zoom meeting on my cisco sx800 but i want macro script of zoom calling (like you show in this video) so can u pls guide me or share me the script.
Thank you for these videos Dustin, they're great. I'd love to see more "official" Macros coming from Cisco. Having a Zoom macro like you've provided with an additional option to enter a host PIN if required would be awesome. I'd like to see a video comparison of personal devices (DX \ Desk Pro) in personal mode vs regular. Thanks!
Thank you Dustin for the video, I like it very much because it is overcoming common issues the making the meeting easier to handle.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Dustin! You helped answer a lot of inconsistencies I’ve been having with this setup, great video
Glad to help!
Great pro tips. Looking forward to testing this in my environment. Thanks for making these videos.
Very welcome!
Hi Dustin,So we still have to buy the Zoom license first?
Remi, yes... you need to have a CRC license in the mix for this to work. Either the tenant can own or you can leverage your own if you have purchased.
Nice one Dustin, thanks!
Any time!
Thanks Dustin, very informative. Hopefully Cisco will be able to work with Zoom for Direct guest join on video devices through WebRTC as what Microsoft MTR devices already does.
Well done! Thanks a lot for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this Dustin

Nathan I think we got you squared away already?

Matthew, can you elaborate? There is a known bug with Zoom content sharing. Have you tried sharing, stopping the share, then trying again?

Hi Justin, thank you for another informative video. I am intrigued in what software you use to view the touch 10 and the codec screen live remotely?
Hello Andrew! This is an internal developer tool that we use here in Engineering.
Hi Dustin...how do you get to access the touch & OSD view of video endpoint on your desktop ?
Hello Subham! This is an internal developer tool that we use here in Engineering.
I didn't realize that you are actually with Cisco. Lol
How did you get your WebEx room kit that is cloud registered able to connect to the zoom CRC via SIP? Have ours in place and can’t seem to get it to work??
You can join Zoom meetings via SIP/H323 if you have a Zoom CRC License which allows for this. This is purchased from Zoom.

Great Suggestions! We have some macros on the Cisco DevNet GitHub page now! With more coming (including the Zoom with Passcode) soon!
