Thrift inspired Fall brings vintage elements to the table. Create a cozy ambience with warm tones and seasonal accents. Shop your home and local antique and thrift stores. Pull together items that go with the theme and rich autumn colors. Whether inviting dinner guests or bringing the season into everyday living, there are elements to consider for an easy setting. We will focus on these as we shop for Fall today. Metals, pottery, glass, textiles, collectibles, and florals set the tone for the season. Heights Antiques on Yale is a wonderful shopping destination. I always find treasures, great gifts, and inspiration. Prefer a neutral palette? Consider ironstone, a vitreous pottery first made in England in the 19th century by Staffordshire potters. Brass, copper, and gold are the perfect warm tones. Thank you! Fun to design and anticipate. A custom piece takes about 3 months and is well worth it. China Baroque also has in-store items, many of which end up in my personal collection. I can't resist the creative designs, combining my love of china and jewelry. Working on a backstamp bracelet now. Such fun!

Chinoiserie heaven! I never thought abt using blue/white for fall, but I just finished painting some different size faux pumpkins navy blue, white & I made a few decoupage chinoiserie pumpkins & I love how everything turned out. I also used my crystal cake stand in a fall vignette w some fall colored leaves. I'm surprised I never thought to use this combination before! It's really just beautiful. Enjoyed the video. Thxs for sharing!

Lady Mary Beth, I love the orange, blue and white, for fall and I don't think I would have thought of that. I also loved the oak bar cart but don't even drink enough to have one. I went to my favorite thrift store Friday, and am so excited because I purchased 4 Waterford Sherry glasses in perfect condition in the Alana pattern for $1.50 (for all four!)
Orange tabby cats are the BEST! You got an amazing deal on the Waterford Alana.
I too love jewlery made from china. My fav is a tea cup made into a bangle. I find a dealer years ago on Etsy, and used her to make bangles for brides out of their China pattern.

I certainly need to spend more time in antique stores! I just converted a mid-century TV cart into a bar cart and just loved seeing all the bar ware options. Lots of choices for Houston thrifting. For inside the Loop, The Guild Shop, Charity Guild, and Blue Bird Circle. Heights Antiques, Rummel Creek, Antique Gallery of Houston (in Spring). MAM Resale on Blalock often has hidden gems. If you are in North Houston (Spring area), stop by Stillgoode Consignment. You can also preview and shop online for local pick-up.

I really like the dress you have on and noticed that you have a few that are that particular style, do you make them yourself or are they a specific brand? They look super comfortable and that key with all the heat we’ve experienced this summer. I was really hoping you would highlight that brass looking circle lamp with the black shade at the beginning of the video, it looked very interesting. The modern chic lamp at the beginning deserves its own segment. You could call the store to inquire about pricing. My dress is a THML called "Sunset Drive". China Baroque had this in their boutique, which was perfect for my custom Imari jewelry. I wear Michelle McDowell dresses and thrifted clothing.

Brilliant to name your dog Willow Blue. Love it! I have used Villeroy & Boch green glass Verona chargers for Blue Willow. Red for Christmas is festive. These are sometimes on sale at Macy's.

Brahmin! I featured one of their stores early in the channel. Have found at resale shops and estate sales. Stillgoode Consignment in Houston has a nice selection. Check their online store for local pick-up.
