Brightline Train: How to get to Miami from Fort Lauderdale | Florida vlog

- In this video, we will show you one of the best ways to travel from Fort Lauderdale to Miami (and vice-versa).
As you know Fort Lauderdale and Miami are two amazing cities in Florida and a lot of people visit these cities and stay or fly into Fort Lauderdale and then go to Miami or vice-versa. So, on our trip we stayed in Fort Lauderdale and thought of exploring the option of a train ride to Miami.
Basically, there are 4 ways to get from Fort Lauderdale to Miami Beach - either by bus, train, taxi or a car.
While Bus is definitely way cheaper but it usually takes about 2 and a half hours depending on where you are in the city. But it might cost you as low as $4 to $7.
On the other hand, a taxi like Uber, Lyft might cost you around $100 or plus and it takes around 40 minutes to reach Miami.
Now, if have a rental car or your own car and would like to drive yourself, that should take about 40 mins as well but be prepared to look for parking availabilities depending on which day of the week you’r there and the high parking rates.
Through the Brightline train, it takes 35 minutes to reach Miami and it also offers shuttle services for pick up and drop. The tickets cost between $10 - $27 per person for a Smart category ticket which is a business class option and you can buy some food and beverages on the go. The other category is Premium for $27 - $37 per person and it’s a first class option with all inclusive amenities like food and beverages.

Thank you! Brightline does not run from the FLL airport but I think if you book well in advance, they have pick and drop options that you can opt for. The tickets from FLL to Miami start from $17..
