As per the vedantic definitions the witness, sakshi is the un-associated Self with three pre-requisites that is the witness must be Conscious, it must be present and must be unbiased. It can be compared to the witness in the court whose testimony will be considered only if he is not personally affiliated with the case. Likewise, you are the ever-witnessing sakshiwaroopa, unaffected by the false and illusory world.
