"Stay a bit longer" and watch a few more videos from these guys, they do rock l promise you. I needed a bib from drooling on my screen. Both looked yum. 👍
glad u found your second egg Thomas! love the bibs! ok you know I'm not a fan of Japanese food (okomomiyaki is literally everything I hate lol) but it's great to see how much you enjoy it. those dipping ramen look STUNNING (Love ramen) I'll deffo be trying it when I'm back. thanks for the food education guys...you may just convert me to enjoying jappo food one day! 😉
So glad you enjoyed the video even though it's totally not your cup of tea! We get so excited about food and Japan was like heaven for us. On our last day we did a ramen crawl in Osaka and had ramen for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As you would say it was EPIC! We'll keep trying our best with the conversion. Thanks for watching! - Thomas 😀
Hi! Been on a marathon of your Japan trip for the past few hours since I just discovered your channel. I love them all especially this episode since tsukemen is my fave ramen since I tried it last year. Plus, I am a chili-head, so I love anything spicy. I will maybe do a food trip for some okonomiyaki next week. I havent gone to Japan, hoping one day. Since I am a foodie, my trips are to restaurants here in Manila. I shoot vlogs of my food trips. For the past weeks, been on a roll for Japanese food. :) I subbed and will continue to watch your other videos. Safe travels! :)
Hi Ma Beatriz Fores! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. We are total chilli heads too and ramen is one of our FAVOURITE Japanese dishes! We haven't visited Manila before, we were in the Philippines last year and only made it to Bohol, Cebu and Palawan. We just loved your beautiful country- especially the people- we made some amazing, kind, unforgettable friends! We're so glad you are enjoying the Japan content- we really loved filming the videos. Thanks for your support Ma Beatriz Fores! 😄 Cheers, Sheena
Just for old times sakes make Thomas rewatch 0:00 - 0:34 😆😆😆😆. Camera angle was really something special!! I did see you had just bought a new camera, glad you eventually read the manual👍. I am glad you left them up, you guys. 💕
🤣 loved the bibs that were always on offer when there was slurpable food around! Love how the Japanese think of everything! And okonomiyaki TOTALLY reminds us of bubble and squeak too now that you mention it! You would have loved it- it was delicious!!! Thanks for watching Trace! S xxx
since you guys know, what Okonomiyaki in Osaka like, and also Hiroshima like, what the most interesting thing about Okonomiyaki is that you should cook your own Okonomiyaki yourself!!!
Thanks Gus! They sure do love their mayo...we loved it too!! 😋 Mayo is very popular in NZ but no nearly as much as this. Thanks so much for watching! - Thomas 😀
Mmm, love okonomiyaki. I never use the spatula to eat though...I'm much better with chopsticks. Prefer Hiroshima style over Osaka btw. As for tsukemen vs. ramen, that's tough. I think I'd pick tsukemen because the few times I had it, it was really top notch so my perception is probably skewed a bit. Another excellent day. 👍
The spatula was pretty hard work! I always found that my pieces were too big and wouldn't fit in my mouth 😂 We had to change to chopsticks a number of times also! We loved both styles but if we had to pick we'd go Hiroshima style also. Loved the way the ingredients were layered. Such a hard call on the Ramen right. We didn't get a chance to have any more tsukemen after this meal but one day when we make it back to Japan we're going to have more for sure! Thanks so much for watching! - Thomas
Cool. I guess we'll be seeing more okonomiyaki while in Osaka! Yes, difficult choice between ramen and tsukemen. Even though it's delicious, complex, satisfying, etc., I've had so much ramen I suppose it's become slightly routine. Kind of like gelato vs. ice cream. I favor gelato because I've had it dozens of times as opposed to ice cream which I've had a million times. 😀
You sure will be seeing more okonomiyaki from Osaka! We couldn't not try their version 😀 Love the gelato vs ice cream line! 😂 It's so true about how something can become routine if you get to have it all the time.
