As someone who once owned a mid-century modern home in California, this house is not, per se, mid-century modern, although the interior decor can be considered as much. That said, I love the house!

Butcher block is my choice for countertops. The look is warm and cozy. Wood is also 90+% antiseptic on its own. Perfect choice!
