You do realize that inflation is cumulative so 4% this month is just added onto all the other months which equals 40% or more a year. Which means in about two years everything that you purchased doubles. Come on now, liberals can't be this dumb.

It may hurt the economy, but even if the tariffs are passed on 100% to consumers it would just reduce the buying power of every dollar which would be a demand depressant putting downward pressure on overall inflation. Inflation is caused by too much money chasing too few of goods. It’s a monetary phenomenon.
