The best QB needs to start. Period.

McCarthy has thrown plenty of passes. Less than the others, but 700 is not a small sample size. He was incredibly successful with the passes he did throw.

Personally I don't think it would be bad to give McCarthy real-time game experience if Darnold is struggling. Neither QB has post season experience and have to learn the playbook so I don't see one QB having a significant advantage over the other but this is Darnold's to lose.

I am more concerned about his size, and tiny hands. 9 inch hands is small for a qb. And he looks more around 6-2 or 6-1. Bo Nix has 10 inch hands and ready to start now. Stronger and more athletic. Not holding my breath for this pick to work out.
