Here’s why it’s even more of a kicker - Amazon will charge you via AWD, or an inbound placement fee, maybe they’ll also charge you a labelling fee, then they’ll charge you a storage fee. They then go ahead and lose that unit. They’ll reimburse for the cost of the unit - not all the other stuff they’ve happily charged you (let alone your own transportation costs). It amazes me they can legally get away with that.
I'm getting sick of this BS. I'm only in the 10's of k's but to get into six seven figures or more and have to deal with the constant BS rolled out and the seller central experience becoming unbearable .It's simply becoming too complicated and one sided.
Wow, this is huge! 😲 Amazon's new FBA reimbursement policy is definitely stirring up a lot of anger among sellers, and it's easy to see why. It’s critical for sellers to stay on top of these changes and be strategic in how they manage their businesses moving forward. Props to Helium 10 for breaking this down and providing insights on how to navigate these shifts.
You said don’t put manufacturer costs into amazon. Ok… but what keeps Amazon (or one of their contractors) from using Helium and finding the exact item, or possibly a cheaper comp, and using that as the replacement cost. I am pretty sure they will check this source for costing, not just other seller’s submissions or history….?
This change seems very concerning. It's clear that relying solely on Amazon is becoming riskier. Thanks for the great explanation!

Wow eye opener...
We need less focus on transparency and more authenticity around helping sellers.
What the ....?
