- I have a two tunes, Fiddler Cuckoo Clock I have repaired and will have a video coming out new week. Unique about this clock is there isn't a little man that comes out when the music plays. The is a lady's head that comes out instead. This clock is old and I do believe before World War 1 because of the works inside and the shaft, hands and nut to hold the hands on are larger than the newer clocks out now.

Now that I am retired, I just might show my life and some of the towns around me. I enjoy working on Cuckoo Clocks and clocks in general, How to repair vacuums, fans and things form the thrift stores, besides the thrift store finds, and working on houses. Time Lapse, Bird & Sky watching along with gardening. Helping my Dad with things he loved to do, along with taking dad and his wife to breakfast.
My Brother and Dad, live on the same Dead End Road and yea, maybe we just might get into trouble a little, but have fun doing it. It is time to start smelling the Roses on the way instead of looking at them and passing them by.

Glad you liked it! I now have two of these clocks Misha Lea. Both had the same problem and this one will be the video next week on how I fix it. Very cool to see how they came up with a way the Violin man worked his arm.
The first tune played is the "The Song from Moulin Rouge", sub-titled "Where Is Your Heart" or in the film ""It's April Again" which I think was written in 1952 so the clock has to be later than that.. the tune was a big hit in the early 50's

I will admit, the first time I saw the ladies head pop out, it was a bit scary. All dirty looking and all. She needs repainted, but I don't want to de-value the Cuckoo Clock. Yes, it's hard to hold people to just cooking... unless you can add humor or some other quirky thing that people would look for in your videos. It is nice to have your friends watch, but you are looking for the ones that don't even know you. They are looking to make the dish on your title and to the point. This is why I say you might want to make another video of your Live, and edit it down to just the cooking procedure. Short and Sweet.

definitely a neat, rare piece! Never have seen that 'fiddler' format before. probably dates to the 1950s -
I have two of these clocks. I have seen one for sale that was a bit newer, you could tell by the painted stripes they had on the roof. The must have older ones because of the Translation I did in the video of what was stamped inside the clock if you got that far in the video. Thanks for watching James and until next time, God Bless.

That is a really neat cuckoo. Where did you get it? Is it for sale?
I have two of them now. One for my son and one for me. I think I found them on Ebay and Goodwill.com site. Next week I will show what was wrong with this clock and how I fixed it Robert Horneman. (By the way, there is one on Ebay right now, but I think it is newer and doesn't look as nice with the black stripes sprayed on the clock)

Thank you for posting! I like that his one doesn't have a chime. Would it be okay to remove or disable the chime on a standard cuckoo clock?
Yes you can. I am sure you are talking about the gong before it cuckoo's. If you don't like the gong sound, just bend the striker wire a little bit into the clock so it doesn't hit, yet the clock will still have all it's parts when you decide to sell it or pass the clock down to in the family Honeyfromthebee.
