    Correct me if I'm wrong... but you don't need to blow bubbles if you are not ascending...

      You’re right! As long as you’re staying in one position, technically you don’t need to blow bubbles, however, given that skills like this follow a large breath, your lungs are full and you are likely to ascend ever so slightly, so bubbles are necessary. Even if not, it’s just a good habit to get into, blowing bubbles anytime a regulator is out so we never hold our breath 😊

      If one is moving up while reg recovery, then one is breathing in too deep.
      Buoyancy should be trained in shallow waters then.

      Agreed! Just a good habit to blow bubbles that we teach open water students 😊
