Before watching the video, do you think it's possible?
Wow beaux goss
Its always possible when you fly :D
Just about to hit 100k. Good luck!
Yes.
Not possible
Next video- Landing an Aircraft Carrier on a Boeing 737
Yizzy X lol
Good idea
Easy
Yizzy X wa da hek

Fr.. I live next to a US Military Installation (Army and Airforce, Fort Lewis) and they make hella noise at like 2AM
The Terminator call the police and make a noise complaint!!!!
Lol
This comment makes no sense.... Come up with something original next time loser 👎
oh hi mark
Somehow it landed, but how it will take off again.🤗

@@minh6327 you chill
Slew mode or not?
The catapult
0:59 that’s a normal ryanair landing
Lmao
🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂 you made joke of it
@Toasted Productions 😧😧😧 crash landing?
So, on the wrong carrier, then?
i’ve watched so many videos of a passenger jet landing on an aircraft carrier in flight sim, but the cinematography in this kept me tied in to every single second
No one:
Literally no one:
Ryanair CEO: We’re now featuring a new destination! Can you guess? Probably not because it’s an aircraft carrier. You have to pay for a safe landing though.
Dead joke
Love you
@@collinflys165 No Im sure its a dead joke
Love you even more
@@collinflys165 i dont love you find someone else
I'm surprised that Hollywood hadn't already did this in an action movie. I mean, they made a city bus jump a span in the road in the movie "Speed" so I think we would have bought into landing a 737 onto an aircraft carrier. Now you've gone and proved it.
Ryanair: Introducing single use aircraft. Because there's no chance of it taking off from there again.
Then we need a new challange. How about chaining multiple aircraft carriers?
Use the catapult!😂
@@this-is-bioman or long aircraft carrier
Imagine the shock of the aircraft carrier crew when they see this monster heading towards them with a weird look
0:57
plane: Aight imma head out
Ryanair : We have started daily flights to the middle of the ocean
Daily flights for $20 one way..
It would be nice if it was actually possible.
😥😥😥😥
Hello @zincate gaming
Ryanair: Lol lets just destroy the plane
Emirates: wat u talking about
STOP USING DEAD MEMES
Should’ve added the interstellar docking music
No time for caution
I cant freaking believe you pulled this off! I'm amazed!
If you can do this is in X-Plane you know its possible in real life.
My dad was an Airdale in the Navy, he was a crew chief who's sole job was to maintain a whole squadron of F-4's. I'm gonna show him this shit and his mind will be blown. He knows how realistic these modern sims are, and he's going to cream his shit!
its possible... but.. too risky
0:53 Nice editing by the way
Air Force : Hello, Is Lucaas here, we want to hire him
Lucaas : Why ?
Air Force : Cuz u the best pilot we have ever seen !!
That was a navy boat, btw.
US Navy: well.. We need him first.

Imagine seeing this in reality...now that would be epic to see
They landed a c130 on a carrier.
2:00 “looking good” (with shaker off the whole time)
0:19 I thought he was gonna reverse thrust, and as soon as I saw the Ryanair livery I literally said "don't" out loud
1:19 no you dont need to speed up it was a perfect ryanair approach!
F16: Haha we have the best spot to land
Ryanair: Am I joke to you?!
Next time a little under safe speed, autobrakes full and trust reverse already a little before touchdown.
Ryan air landing on a aircraft carrier would definitely happen irl
There's no tailhook. Impossible !! The wingspan is so great you'd never land without destruction to other planes and/or your own. Bunk.
You'd never be given clearance to land.
is there any reason why u picked a Ryanair plane? im literally crying from laughing hahaha
TBH i would trust them to do this hahaha
Nobody:
RyanAir: Our flights would only be operated from an AirCraft Carrier.
STOP USING DEAD MEMES
X-Plane 11: weee I landed a 737 on a carrier ship
Real life: a 737 crash trying to land into a carrier ship left his wings on several fighters and fall down in flames into the ocean.
If the flight deck was empty and the 737 pilot managed to stall the plane just right, it *might* be possible but 737's required up to 1,500 - 2,000 meters of runway to land; and the flight deck on an aircraft carrier is around 350 meters (front to back). Seems impossible.
The only reason fighter jets can land there is because they have hooks on the back off the plane that connects to a rope that slows em down
Ryanair would charge extra for the cruise
The sheer weight of the 737 plane and the thrust and reverse thrust + brakes.. is not making this kind of landing possible..PERIOD
@@ributsuria c130 is similar in weight but managed to land and takeoff on its own
Eyy Lucass did you know Swiss001? I think he would be proud of this video BTW😁😁😁
Nicely done! Surprised the wings didn’t hit anything!
There is literally no way unless you had like a 100 mph head wind
Backthrust
20 kts of frontal wind are enough ... th-cam.com/video/NFpAqkxnYl0/w-d-xo.html
Nah because the aircraft carrier is moving quite fast

*Thank you flying for Ryanair!*
In fact, this is a normal everyday landing for Ryanair. 🤣
Ryanair go-around? that's a first. .... you had me there dude lmao
Ryan air...... it had to be ryan air 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
For those interested, the navy did successfully land and takeoff a c130 from an aircraft carrier. And let’s also remember that the Dolittle raids were b25’s taking off from an aircraft carrier.
In my opinion a lightly loaded 737 could stand a fair chance of landing and possibly taking off from a carrier. Especially if you had high winds and the carrier was running flat out at say 40 knots.
0:47 I knew that was Ryan from just watching the landing
When I'm landing planes on short runways I pretend the runway is before the actual runway if you know what I'm talking about, and you just have to keep it level and steady the whole way
In 1963 the Navy landed a C-130 on the USS. Forrestal.
"Hawkins, we just got raised to Alert 1. Plans have changed. We're launching, now."
That's really awesome..... great work ...
However m really interested to see whether it will be able to take off from there or we have to take ship to the dockyard and transport the plane..😇😍
That plane would never fly again. The Navy would attach it to a tug and push it over the side.
The problem is not landing. That is in the realm of possibilities. The real problem is taking off!
Lol ! thats nice landing😻
"So when is the take off ?"
"Uh,Forget it"
For a second, I thought it's Smeagol's attempt.
Loved how he used Ryanair B737 to make this video
I mean it’s not too far from a RyanAir landing
Is that an insult cos I fly with Ryanair every year and there's never been a problem
@Giuseppe Mattucci thank you
This Ryanair pilot deserves a promotion.
Once it lands on aircraft carrier it would never go out.
Best VFX video ever
Used to do this all the time, along with some other things that don’t make sense
Oh my god ! Fantastic....how was it possible ? The pilot must be the ace of aces...
Bruh...Swiss001 did this
yeah🤦🏾♂️
Big Smoke's Bat who’s better? 🧐
swiss001 uploads more often and he does these types of challenges, he also has more subs, plus he's funnier so i think swiss001 is better...but its my opinion
Big Smoke's Bat good lords jeez man
Comin with some heat. I like Swiss001 better tho
Yes
What a choice for the video ryan air !!!
You should make ur own style of vids ur kinda copying Swiss.
ShortWhiteNinja I agree
Yes
No. Swiss001s videos looks general to what other TH-camrs would do
You could have done a C17 short landing and hit the reverse thrusters while youre still in the air just prior to touchdown
Dude I loved to music in the clip and btw awesome on that third landing attempt.
Fun fact: a carrier landing in an airliner would still be quite easy because when you land, your relative velocity to the carrier is around 80 knots because as you saw in the end the carrier was moving at 45 knots and he landed at around 125. So it's the equivalent of a normal runway landing at 80 knots except you can't stall.
Question of logistics. Let's say there was an emergency at sea and they were forced to land on a carrier. Questions for Navy people (I sure as hell don't know). Would the commander of the carrier even allow the attempt? Second, if they allowed it, and if they pulled it off, how would they get the aircraft off as some point? Is there ANY kind of lift that would allow them to get it off, port side? Or, would they--again, would they allow the attempt--to get the aircraft in ship shape and take on a strong head wind, flank speed of course--and then launch her into the wind and pull off a successful take-off? I'll bet there are some Navy guys who would know, one way or the other.
100 ,
*10*
0:47yep you really did pick the correct liberty for this video
Great Job! I didn't think it was possible? Great music too...👍
Ah... Ryanair yes... Quite iconic
(also completely ignoring the wave off calls)
as i tried it in x-plane,i find Just landing on it is too difficult, let alone making it stop, but you made it,that was unblieveble
Landing, piece of cake. Now taking back off in that short of distance, that will pose a serious problem.
Not if you put it on the catapult!
No not possible. Without a tail hook. 737 landing distance is over 9,100 ft in a perfect environment. The biggest aircraft carrier is just over 1000ft. Approx 800ft window (assuming the are NOTHING else on the deck) is too small of a margin to take a chance with a 175,000 lbs loaded plane. Also the wing span of 737 would hit the tower. Less less we forget an aircraft carrier isnt exactly stationary with forward, up, down movement.
Now you have to prepare for take off, the aircraft carrier has some other job to do :-)
Good job pilot, you saved a lot of lives and made your country proud.
Nice landing , editing and cinematography(shots)!!!
That was so cinematic for no reason haha but i loved it
Ladies and gentlemen
Welcome to H.M.S. Ark Royal, on which the time is 1735. Please remain seated until the captain has switched the Fasten Seat Belts sign off.
We are currently anchored off the coast of Spain. When disembarking the aircraft, remember to take all your belongings with you. Your luggage will be available on the left side of the aircraft, and the crew of the Ark Royal will assist you in climbing down the rope ladder. High tide is not until 1900, which will give you plenty of time to get to shore.
Thank you for flying Ryanair.
Can't wait to see you taking off
I thought I was watching another youtuber-
The style of the video is just so similar >~
Thanks for flying RyanAir we wish you a happy evening
Better landing than my last Ryan flight.
You should use the autobrake system on the left of the landing gear lever, it's way more efficient than manual braking.
You bring a huge smile on my face 👏👏👏👏
I think that Ryanair should start flights directly to Aircraft Carrier
2:21 did anyone else notice the jet going through the aircraft carrier??
1:43 beautiful flyover there...!
No Hornet (nor Hawkeye, nor any other aircraft) was hurt during the making of this insane test (despite hair-rising proximity of airliner wing to stationary aircraft).
Now- take off from there?...
I no it's only a simulation but shit that was some damn good flying or urr landing ! ! I have flown quite a few flight Sims and it is damn hard to land a normal sized jet on one of those carriers ! ! Well done ! Hats off to you ! !
That first RIP was hilarious!
0:47 ya gotta love Ryan air
No planes were injured during the making of this video ;)
Jeez I love the landing and the RyanAir livery lmfao
I think this is sufficient evidence that 737's should be outfitted with tailhooks as standard.
I bet the owner of RYANAIR is watching this video and felt proud of it.
Ok. Nicely done. I wonder if the landing strip suffers any damage with 60 tons. I guess it can afford it
Good thing your flying with Ryanair because you would get a raise for that first landing
0:46 buttery👌👌👌
Now we must place Carrier all over the globe, so when air accidents accure, they have a landing point, atleat the don't crash to jungle or sea
That was pretty cool!
now the question... why isn't the navy using 737 on aircraft carriers?
You’d need to go so slow to the point on approach you stall to make that possible.
Thank you for choosing Ryanair 😂😂😂
Bro nice landing
And now, good luck for the take off
Bro.... how the hell did you do that? Reverse thrust before wheels down? Crazy!
