Evening Colin you got blue sky 😳 when you finished with it send it to Normandie please bud, it’s amazing what you find when you’re just sitting there looking at your bike, 🤣 …. Pete 🇫🇷
Evening Pete, I think the blue 🔵 skies are going your way, as we have rain for the rest of the week, according to the forecast 😢, gives me more time to study the bike 😂😂, ....... Colin ☺️
Morning Harry, had to be done, you know as I do the damage that would have been caused to the frame and exhaust, I still have to wonder why this couldn't have been carried out in the factory? thanks for watching...... Colin ☺️
Well Colin, fancy you hanging up on a call from Donald Trump 😁🤣 fair play to you though, you were in the middle of a video production 😊 A couple of good tips regarding the bike stands. I had noticed on mine that the rubber pad on the centre stand isn't very secure. Also, even with the rubber pad, my centre stand still makes an awful bang when it hits those 2 little brackets on the exhaust box. I'll have to come up with a solution 🤔 Glad you got that chain glue off after the service, terrible stuff ........ you with your gear oil and me with my blue scottoil, we know what we're doing! 😁 Cheers, Phil (Somerset)
Hi Phill, Donald can wait 🤣, the centre stand makes one hell of a clunk, it's got those 2 tight wound springs, I reckon when they've stretched a bit the tension will reduce, problem is being the exhaust were dealing with heat, so limited to what can be fitted, at least the felt pad sorted the side stand, chain wax 😭, as you say, we know what we're doing with our oils 😜, take care mate ........ Colin ☺️
@@droneon29 Yeah, the centre stand really needs a softer rubber pad but, like you say, something heat resistant and yes, those 2 springs ....... reckon you could tow a chieftain tank with those 😁 Hope your weather is better than here ....... dull, misty and very damp, we've forgotten what the sun looks like 😏All the best, Phil
Hi Phil, it sounds like we have the same weather as you, I think RE have beefed the springs up because on some earlier models they snapped, I'm looking at making a small bracket with a rubber on, we'll see 😜....... Colin ☺️
@@droneon29 Yeah Colin, not really biking weather 😥 I shall keep my eyes peeled for any solution you come up with ....... unless I come up with something first .... 😁👍 Cheers, Phil 😊
Couple of good mods there Colin 👍
Hi Rhys, thanks, I hate metal banging on metal, let's see what else I can find 😅, thanks for watching........ Colin 😊
Great tip for owners there Colin. Looking forward to your engine bars fitting……😊
Hi Mark, thank you, yes I'm looking forward to seeing them on, take care mate,......... Colin ☺️
