This video inspired me to grow my own tomatoes this year. They are thre weeks old an already around 10cm high. Weather wasnt optimal so they growed a bit slow but they will be fine Edit: this video inspired me to sart gardening, i now have over 20 cultures !
Wholesome comment. I saw a green bean plant time-lapse from a seed and it instantly reminded me of my childhood when I was so curious about raising plants from seeds. My mom has some plants outside our house so I'm just gonna ask for a pot to plant some tomato seeds.
Yes, absolutely. Doing it like this may look neat on a timelapse video, but if you want to actually grow tomatoes, you don't even seed them this close. Tomato plants can get very big (depending on the exact type), and usually, you'll want just one of them in a 20 liter or bigger flower pot. (Usually, you would seed them in smaller pots for practical reasons and then transplant them later. Still only one seed per pot, though.)
I thought the time lapse was cool but bunching them together like that from seed surely isn't that good?. Tomatoes need room to grow well the way I do it is like that and I dry the seeds out before sowing. Never thought of doing it that way before. Also...if you can't afford to buy plants take the seeds out of tomatoes that are bought and grow them that way. Or nick the ripe fruit via a garden centre...they don't "price tag" the produce...yet...

To grow tomatoes it easy they only need water, direct sun and grow so fast
But they are expensive
Sometimes they need something they can balance on.
