I can service my own Felco 2s now! I haven't done anything except lubricate for 20 years! They still cut ok but they're a tad loose & I bet a sharpen will help them no end!
I was a part time delivery driver for a rural nursery. when the boss realised I was a gardener at home he started giving me jobs around the nursery & gave me an old pair of Felco 2s as a "Welcome to horticulture!" gift.
That job dried up during a recession but with my new skills on my CV I swung a job as a council gardener. That lasted another 10 years!
Now I'm back to gardening at home (had to leave the council job when sepsis took my feet) & my favourite secateurs are about to get a surprise thanks to your triptych of videos.
I was about to send them off to Felco for a service but I'd much rather do it myself.
    Plus it saves £25!
    Thanks mate! Much appreciated.
    Cheers! 🍻

Helpful, thank you. Had my Felco 8s for about 6 years--best pruning shears I've ever owned and I assume the last set I'll ever buy.

A very helpful and clear video before I embark on sharpening my own secateurs for the first time. Well done and thanks

I stumbled across your 3-part Felco video and I am so glad I did. It is great! Thorough, well paced and perfectly understandable. Thank you for putting together such a fine piece.

I bought a pair of these same pruners for $2 at a garage sale. Very good quality.
    Thanks for the video.

I cannot begin to thank you for posting these videos. They have saved so many hours of confusion. Felco 2's are the best and need this good care that you demonstrate.

Lol!! Everyone must be putting that bloody washer under the lock... I did that and had to refer to your videos again!! You have THE easiest, most informative, concise videos I have ever seen on You Tube... Well done!!!

Thanks for the 3 part series. Very, very helpful and simple to follow. I've just sharpened my first pair of Felco's 2. I'll do the second pair after a cup of coffee, and it won't be so scary!!

Thanks. It really helped to see how you did this cleaning and lubrication. I put something back wrong and the pruners had issues. I went back over your videos, and saw the problem. Yippee...pruners are now working great!

Thank you for taking the time to go through each step so carefully. My pruners are very old and I have not used them for several years because they are so gunky. I am going to clean and sharpen them today using your instructions and the great tips you gave.

Great three parter thanks for the videos. Nothing more satisfying than keeping one's tools in perfect condition. :o)

I've used enough rusted out and binding pruners in my life to vow never again. Hopefully the series can help others too.

Nice series, Thanks a lot! I'm now definitely not sending out my shears to be sharpened para rather try DIY. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the demonstration. I've sharpened my Felcos, but not as well as I would have if I'd watched your video first!

Dank u voor de duidelijke uitleg. I've just bought the Felco 2. When I'll clean it, I'll use your video.
    I have one problem.

The screws are 7mm and 8mm on my Felco 2’s. I prefer to use sockets over a screwdriver. (But go easy.)
I’ve had these pruners for quite a while, and that “special tool” has been lost in the mists of time. Although it does seem to be included in some of the rebuild kits, for 25 bucks or so.

Thank you gave you a thumbs up for this great video but I'm having a problem with the last step. I put that tiny washer in the right spot however when I open the lock it moves the screw and loosens the screw up so there's no tension on the lock the next time. I was thinking of putting some blue threadlocker on the screw. Maybe I lubricated everything too well. Have you ever had an issue with the screw unscrewing itself?

Nice video John. Waiting for snow to melt here in Wolcott, then it's time for lawn care to start. Airrating needs to be done (never did this to my lawn, 19 years), lime, weed killer, over seeding.... I have Scotts Co doing this work here. I really don't see much difference, not for the $ I have spent. Any ideas as to, filling some low spots with soil and getting my lawn to look good? 25,000 square feet of lawn. Do you work this area of CT at all?
