Thank you. A few days ago I stumbled across your campfire videos and you inspired me to pick up my acoustic guitar again and I’m having loads of fun with it! My degree is in education and I have been teaching secondary / high school for 20+ years (but new-ish to guitar) and I have to tell you that you are a very talented teacher. Your enthusiasm is infectious. It is impossible for you to know the standard of everyone watching so I love how you offer different variations on sections but don’t labour the point - we can always rewind the clip. The only negative for me is that I don’t have a campfire. Or any friends. If you are taking requests then I request that you keep on doing what you’re doing. And some Royal Blood.
That means so much to me, thank you Dagza. I can't tell you how many times I get the comments TOO FAST and TOO SLOW! on the same video (lol). thank you for talking a few steps in my shoes, for the kind shout, and for the royal blood nudge. I actually had a student who was super into them so i've done some before, and would like to share with the class. And for the record I moved to a new state in the midst of coronavirus and don't have any friends here either. such is life these days! to brighter days ahead.
@@RyanLendt I would offer to be your friend but you've just cost me a new guitar today so I have mixed feelings about it to be honest 🤣. My son (another Ryan but this one is 14 and is the Royal Blood fan who asked me to slip in the request) has a Taylor similar to yours (his is a 114e) and it is lovely and bright so I wanted something different as I can just nick his whenever I want 😇 so went for a Cole Clark Angel 2. Oh my. What a beautiful thing. Just need to learn how to play better so I'm off to watch some more of your videos and maybe set up an only fans page so I can pay for it without have to sell all of my internal organs ☺️ Take care.
This video should be getting a lot more love from the YT algorithm gods! I really like the way you break the song down into their parts and then explain each note and chord from there. It made it really easy to understand. Thank you so much!
8/22/20. Ryan, thanks a lot for checking out my singing yesterday, and the compliment. That’s the first time I sang in my “ real voice” on TH-cam instead of goofing off doing some “Tom Petty” impression. I was very depressed yesterday, hit a D chord and sang to it, stopped, turned on my IPhone to record the singing, and that song came out, and my recording is the “first take” with no microphone, just the IPhoneXR built in microphone. Take care, Ryan.
if you go through my catalogue I think you'll find that a solid 35% of my vids are about songs that are underrated - I'm happy you're happy cheers Rodrigo :)
Aww man, where were this video five months ago? I had to learn it by ear, and since I'm only at a beginner level it took me a while. Anyhow, I've learned a few new things, so thank you for that. Cheers from Brazil. Love your channel. :)
great work on your effort LS - even if you missed a few things it was good for you. I'm glad to have helped, even if late to the party ;) Obrigado and thanks for being here!
Ryan please do that full solo when you get the time man. I'm sure it's a hard one to learn and work out how to make a tutorial out of but It'd amazing to see! Nevertheless thanks for another banging video!
Ah brilliant. Great to see your take on this song - I've been playing it 'wrong' all summer (omg we've gotten through a summer already.) Will spend the weekend practicing this approach, thanks Ryan!
Never fully appreciated this beauty of a track, stumbled on it whilst on a foo's shuffle and thought I need to learn this! I wonder if Ryan has done a lesson and bam sure enough here you are man to absolute perfection once again, thank you for all you give to us minnows in this musical masterclass👌👍 Did you muster up enough juice for the solo?
Nice. This happems to be one of my fav Foos somgs. Lol. I figured this one out years ago with no tabs or YT. Looks like I got it pretty almost close-ish.
I requested this and I can't believe I missed it. I've taken a long break because the last part of this solo frustrated me so much. But I do vote for a video on it because I sorta miss the relentless agony of defeat
Hey Ryan I have an idea, what if your subcribers mail in songs in like mp.3 or mp.4 format to you and you pick one to play in your video and make a lesson about, (yes the song would have to have guitar in it). Edit: the fun part is you’d try and figure it out via the recording... or they could leave information, but that’s a little boring don’t you think.
I missed tuning. Was it eddie ate dynamite good bye eddie or eddie flat ate flat dynamite flat good flat bye flat eddie flat? That comment brought to you by the Pat Squad.
Another great lesson, but much stranger things are going to have to happen before I start playing finger style. I haven't been around much. I hope you, the family, the torti, and the Kermi are all doing well. (I'm relatively certain that's the right pluralization for Kermit and tortoise.)
hehe i picked up your pluralization. Happy to report that my game was back this week. 83 including some thrilling forest escapes, a pond splashout, a pitch in and a chip in. felt good to play like myself. i hope you're playing like yourself :)
Thamk you so nuch! If ny guitar wasm't umfuctiomal at the nonent I'd be rockimg it already. This is harder tham I thought, good luck with the readim' :D
Wrong. At 3:56 the notes are BD and BE not DA EA. I don't get why people keep making guitar lessons videos without even knowing how the song is played.
👎👎👎 youtube adverts.... sorry.... all i did was skip forward to see if the video is what i want to see, and youtube instantly forced another 2 adverts . 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 ive given a thumbs down only because of youtube adverts
Cheers Ryan. The solo would be cool, always struggled with it.
cheers Chris!
Please do the actual solo, I’ve always had trouble with that portion of the song
thanks for the vote Jorge :)
Thanks Ryan. Underrated Foo’s song. YES for the solo

I was not expecting to see you teaching this music, because it seems to be underrated, but I love it. Thank you very much, your lessons are the best!!
