Adam seems like he didn’t need to act for Seth, he was Seth Cohen. He seems like such a nice and normal guy and the fact that he married Leighton and they now live a happy and private life with their kids.. it’s so adorable.
I listened to this episode when it dropped last week and I can’t get the line “I’m the happiest I’ve been” out of my head for the whole week and I’m so happy to witness someone with so much love and happiness and fulfillment ❤
I love how natural and in-depth these interviews are. I appreciate hearing from Adam Brody, whom I’m a fan of from the OC days (surprise surprise). I also appreciated his self-awareness of being in a privileged and flexible career and position with his wife and family, because I didn’t agree that being in a relationship is not hard work. I’m a romantic at heart and my husband is my best friend, but considering the difficulties life can bring, particularly in lower SES/classes, you have to put in work to balance career, relationships, kids, etc. He is well spoken and thoughtful when expressing his POV.
This has to be my favourite episode, brilliant questions for Adam. I loved Adam's view on marriage and his upbringing, he is always refreshing to listen to. Adam is always in such interesting projects, loved the dark and humorous The Kid Detective. It would be great to see him cast in You S5 as Penn's younger brother (if that works). I am glad that Nava got to reconnect with someone who showed such kindness to her family on set.
5:22 I've always believed this. Josh wrote these characters as his little alter ego/real life personality. Chuck was the cool guy version of Josh. Seth was the person he was in college, and dan was the person he became because well obviously dan did become a writer
I love that both Seth and Penn make their marriage and kids as a the best success in life. There are so many people out there who look down on the idea of marriage and kids as this worthless work of your life that these two men are just refreshingly happy in their marriage and raising kids.
I'm usually just a viewer/listener on this podcast, never a commenter, but I wanted to leave a comment under this episode. English isn't actually my first language, so I may have a few grammar mistakes, for that I apologize in advance. With that said, listening to Adam talk about his school years, childhood trauma, career, marriage and work was really eye opening for me. I felt like everything he said resonated with my life in some ways and it really left me thinking about what kind of person I've become. Also, listening to someone with such understanding and knowledge about having healthy relationships and mindset was so... calming in a sense, like it left me with a good feeling and I think this episode could've been an hour longer because the dynamic between the four of you was so special to witness. That goes to say that this has been one of my favorites and I appreciate this podcast so so much. Thanks for having this kinds of conversations in such a welcoming and save environment
Listening to the podcast and then watching it on TH-cam is a whole other experience. If only Leightons episode was recorded. Love Adams take on marriage, education and life in general. Also the whole “bribe me” part killed me!! 😂
First Sophia and then Adam, this is the podcast i needed in my childhood years 😂 Thanks for reminding me I'm old.. On a serious note, love the concept and the honesty of it, excited to see more!!
Another great episode! Love the advice about having high hopes, I definitely am a person to feel cautious about looking forward to things but absolutely loved Adam and Nava’s take on just enjoying the moment even if things don’t work out. I swear I always learn something new on each episode I listen to ❤
Adam and Jonah Hill are my favorite actors, and I always watch their interviews when I catch them. And I gotta say, this is the best Adam interview I've seen, so, yeah, fantastic episode!
love that everyone fell in love with him on the OC where he was an actually lovable character and I fell in love with him as a narcissistic satanist rockstar in Jennifer’s Body
I love Josh Schwartz's creations, I can totally see the connection between Chuck, Seth and Dan as well. Can you imagine if there was some sort of Schwartz universe where those three characters meet!
I would love to see him do one of those videos where he talks about his "iconic" roles. He's been part of so many projects - Gilmore Girls, The Ring Jennifer's Body, The Last Blockbuster (I'm serious), etc. I know he did not have major roles in everything he did but he's one of those actors that you're just excited to see.
Honestly it’s disturbing, I had a crush on Penn and now that he aged (before I watched him on GG only) I kinda of understood that he looks like my uncle (who’s 40, through a weird patchwork family). So I officially take my crush back. 😂 ps. Great episode with Adam. I love OC and GG BOTH!
I binge watched the OC a few years back and I was really impressed by Adam Brody. I hadn't followed his career much. But very impressed. And this interview, very smart, articulate, and insightful.
Adam Brody was my first celebrity crush...It's so interesting he was relly simillar to Seth Cohen and actually grew up in California too 😍 My 13 year old self would've been happy 😂 I love how he was talking about Leighton ❤
I remember those digital diary things! I’m definitely the last “generation” this would apply to, my first real tech gadget was a classic-a Walkman. Not a Discman (I got that later), a WALKMAN, that played CASSETTES. It was a gift from my aunt, when I was like 7.
This was one of the best testimonies to marriage I’ve ever heard… I’ve never seen an entire show that any of these actors have been in. I’m sorry, I’m 39…. I was in college and working nightshift as an ob nurse Ahha 😂. But, the glimpses I catch of Adam and Penn and the whole crew that follows them around :) is that they brought ridiculous depth to youth culture that may, Or may have not have been there before. Like, “My So Called Life” was amazing… while you two were more mainstreamed, there’s a certain amount of authenticity that you both bring. My husband is an INFJ, I feel like Penn is that and Adam may be an ENFP… I’m an ENFP maybe he’s also an INFJ. Cool beans guys. Your vibe is nice. Middle school and hs were the darkest for me as well… not sure you could tell that from the outside until my junior year when I hit a long spot of depression that changed the course of my entire life. Adulthood has been so much better, the quarter life crisis yeah that’s dark too, midlife crisis I sort of enjoyed. Like, let’s do this shit. :). Life is all good. The ups the downs the pain… it’s all of the things. I feel like you get that… thank you for doing your art it really helps. Also, you both feel like more Indy, broadway… maybe like European broadway… ok, Penn is dark as Hell. He’d make an excellent Dracula. But, anyway. Thank you guys. Thank you!
just to let you know- i was listening to this episode audio on spotify on wednesday and it abruptly cut off while Adam was answering your last question !!!!

As a Dair stan, the fact that Leighton is married to Adam is like a jackpot to my Dair universe. ❤❤
Trueee! is kind of like Blair and Dan get married and I love it
sameeeee
omggg that was literally what I thought 😂 Dan and Seth are basically in the same nutshell
Adam seems like he didn’t need to act for Seth, he was Seth Cohen. He seems like such a nice and normal guy and the fact that he married Leighton and they now live a happy and private life with their kids.. it’s so adorable.
I'm glad and happy for your support and encouragement how long have you been my fan
This episode has me hooked. Penn and Adam together is a perfect combo.
I'm glad and happy for your support and encouragement how long have you been my fan
Adam has officially become the king of middle school stories.❤

I think life in general is harder without that monetary flexibility that it makes everything else harder too.

Anyone here after watching Nobody wants this? Gosh I think I have a fever on Adam Brody
Love Adam. He seem such a great guy, father and husband. So down to earth and approachable. Really enjoyed this.
Seeing the expressions of the hosts and guests completely changed the podcast in an incredible way. Thank you so much for offering video!

Adam is such a kind grounded man
I love that both Seth and Penn make their marriage and kids as a the best success in life. There are so many people out there who look down on the idea of marriage and kids as this worthless work of your life that these two men are just refreshingly happy in their marriage and raising kids.
Kid detective is one of my favorite movies. Adam's character in that film is one of my favorites
this entire episode made me smile so much!
At the 42nd minute, I paused and then binged all 8 episodes of Fleischman before switching back here 😅 agree. It's very good.
I want to watch! 🏃🏻♀️

It's definitely a type; my husband is pale with dark curly hair. Penn and Adam have definitely been formulative to me in some way... :)
And the dry humor ❤
@@samirascarlett 100%!!!
I love how intently Penn is listening to Adam!

Adam Brody just keeps on being my all-time fave like who do you think you are

Penn is so scorpio energy bec he sounds so brooding and calm, Adam's a sag definitely lol he's so firey and loud 😂
I think Adam has a moon in Scorpio as well
this episode is such a gem
Adam Brody is such a human teddy bear 🧸🐨❤

I loved this episode! Also I was hoping Adam would talk about Gilmore Girls lol
I'm glad and happy for your support and encouragement how long have you been my fan
love that everyone fell in love with him on the OC where he was an actually lovable character and I fell in love with him as a narcissistic satanist rockstar in Jennifer’s Body
I was there and I'm still LOLing at me and Nava continuing to sing Penn's song incorrectly to him even though he HATES it
The way Adam and Leighton did their interview seems so similar to me
Nice. Adam Brody does not do many interviews. He does not age at all too it seems.

I think he's aged like fine wine and honestly find him more attractive now because of knowing his personality on these podcasts.

The middle school still exists! My brother went to it and it’s literally across a community college!
I binge watched the OC a few years back and I was really impressed by Adam Brody. I hadn't followed his career much. But very impressed. And this interview, very smart, articulate, and insightful.
I aspire to have a marriage where the main takeaway isn’t “its hard”
Adam Brody was my first celebrity crush...It's so interesting he was relly simillar to Seth Cohen and actually grew up in California too 😍 My 13 year old self would've been happy 😂
I love how he was talking about Leighton ❤
I love Podcrushed!!! ❤Please, more vídeos when possible… 😊😘

I love Adam ❤❤
