It felt like yesterday when you couldn't go half a year without hearing about 100s of store closures. Now its like the longest game of hot potato. Thanks for the update on this place!
It's a goodbye to Sears in the Washington State region. I'll miss Sears, they definitely had great stuff at the time. The last time I shopped there is when I was buying some work out clothing and socks.
@@SuperBuickregal Hey man, thx for the support! So, there are currently 8 non-closing Sears stores left with 7 of them in the mainland U.S. and one in Puerto Rico. There's 1 location in MA, 2 in FL, 1 in TX, & 3 in CA. I will probably do a video in the future on the remaining Sears & Kmart locations.
@@CoolCatProductions-365 Thanks for the info and I want to see a SEARS one last time before they are gone. They just closed the last KMART last month somewhere on the East Coast.
The Sears down in Orlando seems to be doing good! I went there last year and I follow them on Facebook they still have the watch repair and they got a toy shop on there now! Hopefully that one stays open
@@domthebandit9366 Hopefully it does as they are leasing the upper level to Round 1 so only time will tell whether they choose to keep that location operating.
@ Are they really? The second floor is still occupied by Sears it’s half closed though they got the clearance section up there with baby stuff and the bathrooms! The mall is also one story too so it’s kinda weird
The Whole Club Team Members of Metro, Nikki, Risa, Nhatduy, Haine, Keegan, Nikke, Lynnwood, Pau, Sakura, Rudolph, Thompson, Bruno, and Melody are not safety at the Westfield Southcenter Shopping Mall.
This was one of the saddest things i've seen in quite sometime. I went to the series store at south center. Millions of times I remember growing up in eastern washington, going to Sears and there back to school cloths, it's all gone i hope everybody's is happy who caused all this
I Go to this mall and I Can't believe this Sears (former Frederick and Nelson/F&N) department store is shutting down after the one in Union Gap closed again! At this point Sears could eventually just close all remaining locations and cease all retail operations in the near future at this stage. Plus, in addition to that, hopefully some third party with billions of dollars and retail experience will buy out Sears as a whole... even Sears Canada as well... including the websites and intellectual property. Which could also happen at any time as well. This is what happened to other once defunct retailers like Ames Department Stores, Orchard / Outdoor Supply Hardware, Rue21 and so forth
Even with no sale of the store properties they could still close down and since remain abandoned by then like the majority of Sears that closed since 2018
It will take a while for a billionaire buyer to come along to buy out the website, brand name of Sears and intellectual property rights. When similar retailers Montgomery Ward and Ames Department Stores closed up shop it took a while for them to be bought out. May not happen to Sears right now but eventually the sale and/or even spinoff of the brand / IP is very likely
The 2 Sears Store Buildings in Spokane WA are on JLL's website but they still sit abandoned until now. So what is next after the last stores closed down? Will Sears cease to exist as retail operations in general with no way for anyone with billions of dollars and retail experience to ever buy out the retailer or what
Metro say, "This Sears Store is permanently closed and no longer will be opening by Southcenter Mall on December 15, 2024. Goodbye Sears, Will miss you! 🥺"
@@larry-of9kh Yep but barely. There are still three stores in California being in Burbank, Whittier, and Concord. If you still want to visit a Sears store, I recommend you do so as soon as possible.
@@CoolCatProductions-365 a gemco id rather see but quite sure they are gone im in Long Beach area the last one was on pch and Hawthorne blvd now a Best Buy lol

@JoshYT1 np Josh! I get that feeling, and boy it's annoying 😒
I worked at this sears 2016 - 2017. This mall was my youth times well b4 then.
I will truly miss this store :(
Westfield Southcenter will continue to thrive even once Sear’s leaves since it is anchored by JCPenney, Macy’s, and Nordstrom to name a few.

Thanks for the short bitter sweet video, so how many SEARS remain in the US and where if you do not mind telling us? Keep em Rolling!

@PacificNorthwestExploratio-k9j We could only hope, but Sears won't be sold off anytime soon once all the store properties have been sold.
Even with no sale of the store properties they could still close down and since remain abandoned by then like the majority of Sears that closed since 2018
Part of the blame is also on the consumers that flocked to Walmart, Target, Lowes and Home Depot and stopped shopping at the other retailers
