Hey mate great video! Repaired a few of these myself years ago when I worked for a piling company. Your approach with repairing that auger and end result was top shelf. Cheers, Kurtis 😎👍
You're bang on with that comment Kurtis. Isaac's way using his skill and experience makes it look so easy . Just the same as when you take on a big job ol'sport , make it look so easy .
Thanks mate, I really enjoy your channel as well. I learn a lot from you. You have a really impressive shop. Mine is only in my back yard. haha. Most of my repairs are in the field so I don't need such a huge place. maybe one day when I grow up!

Iv been doing some welding and torching but didnt have much knowledge on how this was done. After watching this video i have a much clearer understanding. Thank you 👍

Another excellent example of your craft. Speaking for myself, and I believe a few others, I'd enjoy seeing as much as you would show is. I'm old enough to know that you can never learn enough from a master. Thank you so very much...
You sir are a hell of a tradesman. A dying breed sadly. I’m just 33 myself but I had a gentleman tell me one thing I’ll never forget when I was about 25. He said “Son, when you get to my age or close to it you’ll be able to charge whatever you want and you’ll get it. Today’s generation don’t wanna do physical labor or real work. Idk what’ll happen but the trades are getting slimmer every year”. I love your videos. This is the things I watch when on TH-cam. Keep em coming. Thank you for any knowledge you pass down.

Hello from the middle of NY state (Onondaga county). I really like how you spoke of your difference of opinion about why it needed fixing . I think the way you spoke is the best non-confrontational way to convey your opinion to a client without talking trash about the user, previous wielded, or Business.
I make it a goal to never criticize ones efforts in repairing broken items in the field. I know exactly how difficult it can be. Their goal is to make the tool or machine last just a little bit longer to complete a job. And I know as with most anything else, if its been patched up, its good enough until the next time it breaks.
He wields that torch like a frickin’ jedi! So jealous!🤪 never thought I’d see a guy ‘ tuning up’ a massive auger, imagine how the drilling crew will feel when this tool starts chewing into rock, super satisfying! Great job Isaac, so much knowledge!Watching him deliver it to the customer was oddly moving, like delivering a newborn baby! Knowing that it will be going back to work and getting all chewed up again, back to see the dentist/ doctor when it’s teeth are worn out and it’s back is broken- I wish Isaac could repair my broken chassis like he does with other heavy equipment!🤣
Oh the memories!!! I've done that so many times I shoulda charged my the minute! The drill operators always had the same reply... "I was just doing my job!" Yeah ok.... as I leave I parked down the road and hid in the woods next to the site and recorded the rig jumping up and down... yeah doing your job... But hey I had a ball repairing them and they always gave gift cards on the holidays! I had a pulse welder with .45 wire. I turned the pulse off for my first pass and then turned it back on and ran really hot for the fill passes.
Very professional work. It really helps when the welder understands how something is designed and how it’s used. Taking the pains to get the teeth cutting even and staggering them is what I’m talking about.
Love you talking and sharing your thoughts on solving issues. It's not an abstract science when working in the field or workshop with used materials and machines. But knowledge and experience will help you do the job. This way you also are a great teacher! 💪
Thought I’d skip past the boring bits, but there weren’t any! Incredibly impressive knowledge and skills, and a true understanding of how the auger needs to be set up. What price can you put on this kind of knowledge? This video is absolute gold for anyone who cares to appreciate it. Thanks for sharing this Isaac,I will probably never tackle anything like this, but it never hurts to watch a master at work. 👌👌🏴

Hello Isaac, beautiful repair my friend. In other news, I was working at a customer shop and one of the guys who is a good fabricator and repair guy in his own right was raving about you. Told me you gotta watch this guy. I said I have known about you for twenty years or so (you know... before the internet was cool!) and that I do indeed watch your channel as well as follow your instagram adventures. When I told him we have spoken a few times about things on the phone several times over the years he was flabbergasted. Anyway you have two fans in NH for sure.! Thanks Issac. Will be returning back to the states and starting a new welding fab and repair shop. Been a hobbyist welder for some time but will get certified. By the way I'm 55 so I figure I have another 20 years productivity in me. Your videos always get me fired up. Mainly will be doing ornamental gates, doors, railings, BBQ's and 4X4 accessories but definitely open to working on implements as well. Thanks again for your dedication and inspiration.
You are a master of the art. Very informative and the rational thought as to why and how the job is accomplished. Thank you sir. Have been welding since the early 70s and I pick up great information that can be utilized .
You sir are absolutely amazing at fabrication and welding. I was a welder for quite a few years and it is such a pleasure watching someone like you at work. Thank you.

I just watch what you do and try to mimic it and my hot metalworking skills are getting a lot better. Thanks man, I truly appreciate you taking the time to show us greenhorns how to fix metal things.
Your videos can never be long enough. It is a great delight to watch your excellent work and to hear your thoughts and rationale about solving problems. Thanks so much. Ironically, we had exactly the same problem with a post-hole borer. The auger refused to dig into even soft earth, and only upon turning it upside down and inspecting it was it apparent that the front lip had buckled in and was higher than the belly of the blade. All it would do is polish the earth!
Is it just me or does anybody else want to see it put to work now that it's been modified and had the design improved?? Great job on the rebuild ... constantly impressed with your abilities and how precise you are with that torch! I'll admit, I might be just a tiny bit jealous! Maybe one day I'll get to be half as good with a Oxy Torch
Brilliant video! First class workmanship on that auger, your skills are clearly on display and even the wild birds were singing your praises in the video. more of the same please young man because Isaac you are great to watch and learn from. Top regards, Jon (In England UK).
3:09-3:15.....Um NO, I won’t ever attempt to do something like that myself; but I appreciate the vote of confidence. I will just go ahead and watch YOU do it by yourself. Sometimes, I just look at something and say “well that ain’t happenin”. Oh, and we will watch every second of every minute; this is quality tv.

Funny, I was thinking they should do a cross channel project or something. A bit far though to send a big old chunk of metal. 😆
