@@burlatsdemontaigne6147 wrong comparison! F-16 has been around for decades . Initial models are not the same as present series . They have been continuously upgraded with latest technologies. In case of Kaveri , it has reached this stage after years of work. Also it has to to be remembered that Bharat have had no infrastructure to build such engines when the work started . Continuous improvement will one day get it to its “destination” . And also it would be Indian engine and not made in collaboration with or GE among others .
In 1950, India unveiled its indigenous jet, the 'Marut,' preceding other Asian nations. By the 1980s, the nation saw the rise of its semiconductor company, the Semiconductor Complex Limited (SCL). In 1987, SCL achieved a 0.8-micron semiconductor process, trailing just one generation behind industry leaders of the time (Intel, Toshiba). Remarkably, even the current leader TSMC had not yet come into existence. Regrettably, external pressures led to the discontinuation of these endeavors under the Congress government's mandate, reflecting the challenges faced in India's quest for technological self-sufficiency.
Yes certification is okay but ideally Kaveri model should be sold to one of the biggest and most reliable Indian defence companies in private sector like Tatas. Then let them develop it! I am sure they will produce a GE comparable engine in 3-5 years!
This is a big news! Kaveri can be used for LCA training version or for some export where such high thrust is not required or for routine CAP duties. Hope no further time is lost on this issue!!

Engine development is a complex process, hence needs resources and time. If resources are given Kaveri engine can definitely come out with sufficient power sufficient enough to power LCA. If it is successful, it can be a game changer for Indian aviation industry as based on this experience more powerful engines can easily be developed for future aircrafts. Hence govt should provide enough resources to GTRE immediately.
V Good analysis. I fully support your views, Sir.
Anna thank you explained clear cut,
Support GTRE.
Govt. must fund the desi scientist for the research.
Failures do happen but it provides lessons to learn & to improve in future.
India still needs its very own Gas Turbine engine.
*Whatta Satisfying News* 😌

Edit 2:- *SAHI BAAT HAI.... KATORA LEKAR BHIKH MANGNA BAND KARNA CHAHIYE AUR SAB KUCH INDIGENOUSLY BANANA CHAHIYE.... EK BAAR DRDO-GTRE NE ENGINE APPROVE KARA LIYA USKE BAAD BHARAT FUTURE MEIN 140 KN WALE ENGINE KE SATH HEAVY WEIGHT 6TH GEN FIGHTER JET BHI BANAYEGA ✌... IN FACT HAR EK CATEGORY KE ENGINES BANA PAYEGA* ✌
Apko sunne m bahut mja ata h ..real information and real news ,faltu k prediction vali news nhi rhti ..gud work bro ...ese hi real and informative news k liy apko sadhuvad

Nicely said in the end 👍🏻 Jai Hind
Very Nice! I hope this expense gets express approval 👍I hope that HAL develops a twin engine (slightly bigger) variant for this engine with MK1A + Pods all integrated inside!
It's our own so we feel really proud of it... ( it's, capacity may be less but no matter in future we will definitely achieve it)
I support GTRE in developing indegenous technology as we need depend usa , russia ,france in future and having our own engine not obly helps reduce dependebce but also enables in house developmrnt , owning intellectual property but also maintain secrecy compared to other engines of otger countries.
The name is very justified.
agree and i really like your analysis and approach
Aapki soch sahi. Hume har tarah se apni technology ko acha kerna chahiye. Ache logon ka politics mein aana jaruri hai. Sabse jaruri
nice initiative , well i hope that this engine should continue while also the expertise which we will gain from developing engine with france for amca can also be integrated later on which will help us later on if we want to further improve kaveri engine .Hope that funds are made available for kaveri engine as its our own engine , china spend billions of dollars in engine but they are still unable to make a reliable engine so engine development takes a long time depending on how much you want to improve it further .
My prayers are with the success of this experiment and especially with the brave pilots who will be tasked to fly it. HARI OM.
Sharmaji already joined the watsapp channel, and news feed are good one
Great news. Thanks for sharing.
This is only genuine channel on defence updates i trust on TH-cam

Wah wah great work thank u all ingeneyar

Bilkul sahi baat bola aapne subodh bhai last mein.... Mera bhi thinking waisa hi hai
It's a massive progress.
Kaveri engine at its present form can be always tweaked continuously for improvement . In time a fine engine will emerge .
You can't 'continuously tweak' old technology. A Tesla is not a 'tweaked' Model T Ford.
Sure
If we don’t fail, that means we are not working hard enough. Failures must be cherished as long its new and not repeated!
Bilkul sahi bole Resurch and Development me kharch to hoga hi, Age jake usaka fal milega, dur Drishtee, ❤
Means closer

Shi bol rhe ho Bhai tum...hme other countries se engine TOT mangne ke wjaye Kaveri pr focus krna chahiye.jai Hind
Never give up India 👍🏽
Absolutely Right. Investment in R&D is very much essential. Those who. Are expert now, also have invested hell a lot of money and resources in R&D over the years.
Its a big news but India should go for a balanced approach.
It will take at leasr another 5 years to improve Kaveri to current minimum requirement..by that time this can be obsolete
A foreign technology with agreement on technology transfer option can keep our fighter jets up to date and help in improving out r&d.
Well said Sir 🙏
Rightly said in research and development, failure is part of the process itself. We can see how many SpaceX rockets were made and then launched but they failed to land back successfully before actually succeeding in perfecting the design..
Mein aapki soch ko salam karta hoon... Hume Kaveri Engine ke liye R&D mein aur kharcha karna chahiye
One of the best news 😊
Correct brother. R & D is extremely important for India now. No matter what the cost, India MUST develop its own engine.
Woohoo..news of the decade...Jai Bharat Mata
Yes Subodh, developing your own technology is lot better than begging for technology.
Indian fighter with Indian engine, bhai diwali ho gayi aaj❤
I hope it is so. If that happens I will be very happy for GTRE.
I am also a tex payer. I agree with what you said about begging for technology transfer. Well said. And so it arose.
Yes, I too agree with the katora wali thinking. Its obvio in R&D many things do fail and its fine. Considering Tejas and its 0 crashes/failures, we fail much lesser than many other countries.
Partial indigenisation is equal to no indigenisation because as long as you are using foreign equipments in your weapons, you directly or indirectly, giving the access of your entire radiography /position/electronic and IR signatures to supplier company and country. Particularly America like country has habit of doing espionage using weapons given to their allies. So if we were aspiring to be a formidable superpower in future, we have to have the entire indigenous product and our 90% of weapons should be fully indigenous. However, it seems that people sitting in MOD maybe working for their masters sitting in some other country like US/Pakistan/China who want to restrict India’s defence development and indigenisation. It is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable that ministry or Air Force is not ready to give even one aircraft to GTRE or DRDO which can help us in crossing the paradigm of dependency. We have to understand and remember that defence dependency means your country is actually Not an independent country, it’s only a camouflage of freedom.
You are right, I agree with you.
MOD must look into the matter znd release funds even before certification ....
Well said don't give money to other countries. Try and try until you succeed money hardly matters. R and D should be funded as much as they require, for our countries glory .
Congratulations🎉🎉🎉
Dear sir your video was excellent on kaveri engine development I don't care if my taxe money's are vasted by DRDO & ISRO but my nation should not beg with any Europe nation for technology Jay HIND Jay javan Jai Kisan & last Jai vinganyan
Performance and improvement comes in increments and it must continue to add more muscles and brains to the existing base. We have wasted so many years waiting for the decision.

Bro you are a real patriot..
I agree with you my dear friend, government must approv kaveri engine for LCA
Hope for the best

With changed situation and time, with updation of engine it is possible to use the engine Kaveri. Any technology is also available with exposure to new engines also. Kaveri stands a good chance to succeed
Jay Hind ❤ Bhai
Totally agreed with you
We need some technical experts to complete such crucial technology development instead to look out for tot
