Guess I gotta get ahead of all the comments that will correct me. Yeah whoops I didn't realize that the hunter being talked to in the flashback was just us. I didn't recognize him with the hood!
There's actually a third large monster that can be glimpsed in the bottom of the sand pit sucking the Doshaguma in before being thrown at the hunter by the large Doshaguma. It's hard to see but it seems to have the proportions of a leviathan monster.
If you slow down the trailer at the sand sink hole part until the gameplay starts, a new monster is visible the whole time. It is swimming at the bottom of the sand pit, wraps around the doshaguma while it attacks the player, until finally it is thrown directly at the player and we see its belly and the rest of its body. It has four legs, a scaly back and a strange jaw shape. Check it out in super slow motion for a good look!
I'll have a video with slow motion of it in a few hours, I don't thinks a large monster but it's very similar to almudron with it's swimming and body structure.
I noticed something that a lot of people haven’t touched on. If you look at 32:29 at the mountain with the hole in the back, the inside of it is glowing. At first I thought it was a lighting strike but it’s just glowing non stop through out the scene. I wonder if there is some source of constant lighting there? You can also see it mid hunt at 33:59
the Armor the Hunter has looks incredibly close to the Pukei Armor Set. maybe this isnt the first mission we see but maybe we graduate with a hunt before leaving towards the Forbidden Lands ? that be cool.
I saw plenty of people complaining about Doshaguma.. which is a starting monster... which seems to be an implied scavenger ? Scavengers like Vultures will bald and look this way because of hygiene. Remember Odagoron ? yea i think its sensible enough. Not every monster has to look like a Beefcake Nerg or a stylised Valstrax cut out. I guess people have no issues so they make themselfs some. I am a bit wary about the story focus. I didnt get the sense they ever got a hang on that, ever. But hey so long its not overbearing, still fairly general but has better dialog and character writing then World and the Player can imprint their personal Adventure onto the Story it shouldnt be too bad. Blood will be modded in or has a on off button again i pressume. Lets hope Wilds gonna meld more rugged MHW playstyles well together with the best that 4 Ultimate could give us without ruining the heavy momentum. If they can manage to pull the best from both and combine it with new monsters and general mechanics i will easly sink another 2000 hours into one of their games. here is hoping for the best.
Palico dressed up like the blacksmith even with hammer Oh and let’s hope it’s not open world. Can’t stand that trend I guess if anyone can do it right these guys can but for the life of me I can’t figure out what you’d gain other than either aimless wandering or being a slave to way points.

Gemma - 1 letter away from Gema, which is Yolk
Alma - Soul
Nata - Cream
MH6 Story spoiler: main NPC's will be mixed into a sweet Portuguese pastry.
now my palico has to be called pastel
The electronic sounding sound track reminded me so much of the armored core sound track lol

Looks like the amphibians armor to me but if you look at the 3 sos players you will see an armor that does look like pukei armor.
