As a non-historian trying to learn about the social landscape & legacy of WWI, it is of great benefit to hear professional scholars talk about the various approaches taken in pursuit of the study. "Debate" is always usefull to learn & teach debate...
Ofcourse people here not debating
math & physics... (Such fields one cannot lie )
History is always relative & always used for non-schientific purposes...
