Just unlocked Rey and I managed with no zetas other than c3po. I used Rey RH Finn and the 3 droids. I used 3po and r2 at 12 and didn’t lose many battles

I didn’t realize that the other zorii unique would work since the leader has to be a non UFU and both Rey and JTR are UFUs. For some reason event rey is not an UFU. Good to know!

I appreciate it dude. If enough people ask for it I might consider it but I made this video because all the other guides seemed outdated and using req people weren't close to. Tier 3 hasn't changed at all so any guide will do. If I find easier ways to do later tiers I will for sure make another video explaining how I did them

Just attempted my first try of Tier 1 despite having NO zetas on my entire Resistence Faction (I was maxed on Light Side currency, so figured I'd try it a few times while building enough mats for Zorri's zeta). Used JTR (230 speed), Hero Finn (262 speed), Hero Poe (248 speed), BB8 (254 speed), and gear 10 Zorri with trash mods (173 speed). I beat it with Rey, BB8, and Poe surviving. It was both easier than expected, but also required my attention. Again, NO zetas at all. For omegas, I had Rey's daze/ speed down omega, all of the Hero Bro's omegas, and none on Zorri or BB8. I haven't really worked on this faction yet, but wound up slow grinding into Rey's requirements by accident, so might as well get her. I doubt this team will work 100% of the time, but it worked pretty well on this first try. I killed the Lietenant first, then focused on one Trooper at a time while using Poe's stun on a different Trooper I was working on. I used BB8's Secret Intel every chance, and got Illuminated Destiny off. Zorri went down at the very end, Hero Finn went down while working on the first or second trooper. So, this guide works with NO zetas, assuming you bring BB8 for the 5th, and as I said, my Zorri was g10, 5 stars.

My tickets were maxed, so might as well do attempts, lol

You and the other content creators are excellent role models for what a gaming community's leaders/ public figures SHOULD be like. Anyway, I know I've learned some neat tricks by reading people's comments on these videos, so I'll always share if I find something that works. Too bad this didn't work out too consistently. Still nice to know it CAN work, though, for all us zeta-poor players!

Let me know how it goes dude. Yeah a couple people mentioned it but c3 r2 and bb8 are the three you use in most guides for this event. This is the way I had 100% win rate without the droids leveled but that 5th slot is completely open for you. C3p0 might give you a faster win or bb8 might give you some extra turn meter to keep em from ever taking a turn.
@@rabidbeaver1138 yeah, I'm hoping with my C3 he should be fast enough I won't need his mods redone. My R2 g12 is a bit to risky despite his stuns being super good. And BB8 I just don't see the utility compared to the others.

@@rabidbeaver1138 Finally got to try it. C3 makes it such an easy battle. Never lost a single unit and most the time the enemies never got to take more than 4 turns unless they gained tm from deaths. Was so much easier with the translation and swarm, plus the confusion debuff helped alot. Day 1 I have finished tier 1 and 2 with zero battles dropped
this video was so helpful, I've been stressing about this event as most people recommend using C3P0 and R2 and those toons are only G12 and G8 for me but this strategy seems so much better. I do have a follow up question, as I'm currently strapped for zetas (as I think most people are) do you think you will make a video on rey's ult unlock with minimal zetas on her and the team?
Yeah that's the plan. I'm working on it myself. Currently it looks like the minimum is 2 on Rey and 1 on zori for everything so far but I should have more info soon
People have already made guides for it and there aren't new characters to use like there is for resistance. I may make a TH-cam short summarizing all the info for it to help people then they can go to those guides if they have questions. I appreciate the sub and I'll let you know

R7 Sith Trooper, Half maxed 6 dot mods half maxed 5 dot, R7 Kylo Ren, mid tier 5 dots and R6 SF Tie Pilot, maxed 5 dots. I definitely have room for improvement with mods but this is also stage 1... KR Unmasked is all defense mods. Hux is speed and tenacity, Trooper and Kylo Ren are crit damage and tenacity. SF Tie is speed and crit chance. I also have all of Kylo unmaskeds zetas, and Hux's zeta. Working on getting Kylo Rens atm.

Lol. It's because of spice runner skills. That zeta saves your guys lives and allows you to absolutely stomp them before they get started. They get 100% turn meter when they go below 100% health and get protection back. Zori doesn't necessarily need mods because they don't have AOEs and she's under stealth
For some reason it doesn't work with me? They get the first turns and kill off my Finn before i get to do the hand off. Finns speed is 199 (16). He's maxed out and has all zetas placed as well. Zori is at 3 stars but all jer powers and zetas are also placed. Im not sure what im doing wrong? Do i need 200+ speed?

You should need too much additional speed overall but I would go watch my mod farming guides in general but the only thing you should need to do to finish getting Rey is level the mods that are currently on the characters to level 15. It'll give them the durability they need to survive the event.
I wonder if its possible to get reys ultimate with no zetas or like 1? Takes weeks to unlock ultimate so would be nice to start farming, but no point if team needs like 4-5 zetas, cause im putting them all on SLKR
Super helpful! After getting the light speed bundle, I've already got Zorii at g11 with both zetas and the omicron (and getting so many holds in GAC!) So I'm keen to hear how subsequent teirs are working out with this setup, especially the ultimate. I'll be trying in a couple of months after I get Raddus to five stars but would love to save zeta mats for GL Rey herself.

There lies the problem. Two droids that are both legendary events. Yes a lot of people have them. But a lot of people don't or don't have em geared like me.

This is what worked for me. If it gets you through the event without dropped battles that's what I care about. If people have the droids those older guides are perfect for them. If not this guide will help them. At least that's my hope
Yeah just swap some mods for him out. Either more health protection or defense primarys. You can also six dot the diamond to up his defense. You just need a bit more beefiness for him to survive. Let me know how that goes
@@JonMTango if you're already at the tier try resistance bros with JTR and zori. Have GL Rey at 526 speed at least and have at least the sudden whirlwind zeta then drop lifeblood twice on zori(you'll get a bonus turn) avoid using JTR ability that removes turn meter

You can swap out bb8 in the last slot but to make it easiest the resistance heros are best. Zori is a must for this version. If you have c3p0 and r2 there's a lot of guides that use them with bb8
@@rabidbeaver1138 It was a really pissy comment. In hindsight I was irritated about the difficulty of the battles. I could have more gently suggested that zorii isn't in the lightspeed bundle or a minimum requirement without being a dick about it. Sorry for that.

Whats your team Comp and mods? the classic comp is KRU, Hux, Sith Trooper, Phasma, and Panda

In my testing speed didn't seem super important as long as it was good on Finn. I can do some testing after work and get back to you tho

You should be fine. Blaster bravado on Poe is really nice but neither are needed truly. Only the zori zeta

U can do it with hero finn, c3p0 r2 and bb8 with no zetas
There lies the problem. Two droids that are both legendary events. Yes a lot of people have them. But a lot of people don't or don't have em geared like me.

@@hlepme7861 not complaining bro. Hope I didn't come off that way. I saw a need for newer players to know there's other options besides droids that's were common during older guides. This is what worked for me. If it gets you through the event without dropped battles that's what I care about. If people have the droids those older guides are perfect for them. If not this guide will help them. At least that's my hope

Yeah just swap some mods for him out. Either more health protection or defense primarys. You can also six dot the diamond to up his defense. You just need a bit more beefiness for him to survive. Let me know how that goes

Spice runner skills is the only one you need to complete the event.

@@JonMTango if you're already at the tier try resistance bros with JTR and zori. Have GL Rey at 526 speed at least and have at least the sudden whirlwind zeta then drop lifeblood twice on zori(you'll get a bonus turn) avoid using JTR ability that removes turn meter

Yes. None of the other zetas are necessary to complete the first 3 tiers but zoris unique is required

You can swap out bb8 in the last slot but to make it easiest the resistance heros are best. Zori is a must for this version. If you have c3p0 and r2 there's a lot of guides that use them with bb8

@@rabidbeaver1138 It was a really pissy comment. In hindsight I was irritated about the difficulty of the battles. I could have more gently suggested that zorii isn't in the lightspeed bundle or a minimum requirement without being a dick about it. Sorry for that.
