  • Enjoy a relaxing steam train ride down the full length of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway on board BR Standard Class loco 78022. Take in the stunning Yorkshire countryside as you steam through Bronte country on your way from Oxenhope to Keighley, this video is a dual camera shot with a buffer and a cab angle.
Settle in for this relaxing cab and buffer ride as you watch the driver pull out of Oxenhope, before heading to the iconic stations of Haworth, Oakworth, Damems (request stop), Ingrow (West) and pulling in to Keighley. Of course this being Bronte country and the setting for the railway children you know you are in for a scenic and iconic journey.
More information on the KWVR and how to visit can be found here: kwvr.co.uk/
The Keighley & Worth Valley railway is probably one of the most spectacular days out I have had on the rails, you can tell they are geared up to cater for people from 1 to 100, and the mix of generations on the platforms show they are doing a fantastic job of appealing to everybody. You can get a rover ticket for £20 (price correct April 2022) and this allows you to go up and down the line as much as you want, most days they run a Diesel and a Steam loco, alternating so you get a fantastic mix of traction. Of course no day would be complete without a trip up Haworth high street or visiting Rail Story at Ingrow, not to mention the great facilities at the stations along the way.

Thank you for watching, I use a couple of GoPro cameras on magnetic mounts, they give a good smooth view. Editing in 4k is the hard part, I had to upgrade my computer a lot to be able to handle it at the quality I wanted.

@@BlueRidgeDave I have a GoPro 10 for the main footage, and an older GoPro 7 for anything internal, or risky angles. I really like them, they do sometimes overheat in the cab but it's hot on a steam loco. I have the extra long batteries with the 10, they get me around 75 minutes in one go.
