NCT has several bass heavy songs - 7th Sense, Simon Says, Cherry Bomb, Gimme Gimme, Boss, Misfits all come to mind. But all of the subunits have fire songs..and the choreo is fire. Never pay attention to their hair in Kpop when you are learning a new group. Idols change their hair WAYYY to often, focus on facial features and voices. Paying attention to hair only helps you when you are trying to figure out what era something is in. NCT *currently* has 23 members the group concept is infinite members, for example in 2019 they had 21 members. NCT is split into subunits however all the subunits still have that NCT feel. Fixed units don't change or add members NCT 127- fixed unit with 9 members NCT Dream- used to be a graduational unit for the younger members but that quickly changed now it's a *fixed unit with 7 members*. WayV- *fixed unit with 7 memebrs*. They are the chinese subunit. NCT 127 is the unit having a comeback soon, so I'd start with them if you do more reactions. They have 9 active members: Taeil (eldest and main vocal of 127 and NCT as a whole, tends to hit the highest notes), Johnny (from Chicago and has his own youtube series called JCC, singer/rapper), Taeyong (leader of 127 and NCT as a whole, main rapper/dancer, has his own soundcloud), Yuta (Japanese, singer/dancer), Doyoung (also a main vocal, more airy tone), Jaehyun (main vocal with a deeper voice), Jungwoo (debuted 2 yrs after the rest, singer/dancer), Mark (leader of NCT Dream, rapper/dancer), and Haechan (main vocal and also a member of Dream). My personal faves to get into them would be Simon Says, Limitless, Chain (a Japanese release), and Regular. Each subunit has their own 'sound' and personality and 127's is definitely more hiphop/experimental than the others. Taeyong, Doyoung, and Jaehyun were in this video. Gentlemen, If I think I understand you correctly, then the answer to your first question is: no, NCT U songs do not contain all the members. Every member is “automatically” part of U sub-unit, yes, but each release will have different numbers of different members from any of the sub-units mixed and matched - one track may contain only 3 vocalists cause it’s a ballad…another track may have 7 members which consists of four from 127, one from Dream, two from WayV…yet another track may require 4 members which includes three rappers and one vocalist…and so on. This is what it means by “whoever fits the concept” when we’re talking about NCT U. When ALL 23 members get together (your last question): is when they identify themselves as “NCT [insert year]”. This was initiated in 2018 with NCT 2018’s release of BLACK ON BLACK…where all of them (at the time only 18 in total) showcased a united and in-sync choreography accompanied by fire beat that one big influencer youtuber even immediately played it out in real live krump battle website. NCT and Exo are under the same company/ label called SM Entertainment/ SM Town which is maybe why you felt a similar vibe because both groups are amazing, some NCT members and Exo members and Shinee (another popular group under SM entertainment) are in a group together (made up of 7 members) they are called SuperM and they are known as the avengers of kpop so they are kind of like an all star group with fans favourites from the 3 different groups (Shinee popular 2nd gen group, Exo popular 3rd gen group and NCT a popular 4th gen group who all trained and work under the same company. They’re music and music videos are amazing, so you should check them out!!

How I remember all the 23 members? Aside from them being divided to sub units, their interactions are really fun too because most of the members have known and grew up together for 10 years and they just effortlessly funny. There's 3 major sub units (aside from NCT U for special projects) such as NCT127 as the parents, NCT Dream the children and WayV literally like their noisy cousins from China, when they combined together for the second time last 2020 was just pure fun and chaotic. They post a lot of new content almost every day in NCT and NCT Daily, NCT127, NCT DREAM and WayV TH-cam channel too so do check em out ^^

Anyway, talking about sub-units.. its actually an SM thing. Groups from SM entertainment usually have subunits, including EXO. EXO has EXO SC (consists of Sehun and Chanyeol, EXO’s raplines), EXO CBX (Consists of EXO’s vocal lines, Chen Baekhyun Xiumin), and EXO-M (the chinese based subunit). Same thing goes with other groups, SNSD (girls generations), super junior, red velvet, NCT, all have subunits 💕. Please do check them all 😀😀😀 And talking about how do i keep track with the ever-expanding group like NCT? Well, by appreciating and loving their journey and loving them equally because each and every member has their own character, focal-point, talent, quality, and uniqueness 💕💕💕; pretty much the way we give love to our children 😂. As an SM Stan, im pretty much used to taking effort in keeping up with variety of idols. Because once you stan an SM group, you will stan all of them. Believe me 💕

They work under JYP entertaiment. They are one of the biggest group in Kpop. NCT Dream is a unit based of aged, they only have teen members,once they hit adult/legal age, they will graduate and move to other sub unit, and the group will have new members, but in 2020,their agency realese a statement that they will erase the graduation system and added Mark ( member that already graduated ) back in and change the system to be rotational unit with 7 members, so it's like some comeback they will have their complete 7 members. NCT Dream debuted on August 24 2016.

*WayV* is a unit based in China. They're are the fourth sub-unit of NCT. WayV is under SM Entertainment's China exclusive label, Label V. The members are either Chinese or have Chinese descend. They promote in China and yup their songs is in Chinese. WayV debuted on January 17 2019.

*NCT U* is the first sub-unit of NCT. NCT U is based on genre/concept of the song, the U stands for United, means any member from any sub unit can join if they suit the concept, The members vary from each song. NCT U debuted on April 9th 2016.
In *2018* they also have big project called *NCT 2018* which have all of the members that currently active that year ( and they coincidentally have *18* members that year, *3* new members were added later in *2019* when they debuted the China unit *WayV* ) and realese album with the title track called ' *Black On Black* ' that they all participated in. They're released an album called "Empathy".
So in 2020 NCT are back with their 2nd album called "Resonance". NCT 2020 Resonance is part of the "NCT 2020" project; which saw all current NCT members from several units collaborating on a full-length release. This time, the album features all 21 members from three current units of NCT; NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV, while introducing two new NCT members, namely Shotaro and Sungchan. The first part was released on October 12, 2020, with the second part was released on November 23, 2020.

Never pay attention to their hair in Kpop when you are learning a new group. Idols change their hair WAYYY to often, focus on facial features and voices. Paying attention to hair only helps you when you are trying to figure out what era something is in.

They have 9 active members: Taeil (eldest and main vocal of 127 and NCT as a whole, tends to hit the highest notes), Johnny (from Chicago and has his own youtube series called JCC, singer/rapper), Taeyong (leader of 127 and NCT as a whole, main rapper/dancer, has his own soundcloud), Yuta (Japanese, singer/dancer), Doyoung (also a main vocal, more airy tone), Jaehyun (main vocal with a deeper voice), Jungwoo (debuted 2 yrs after the rest, singer/dancer), Mark (leader of NCT Dream, rapper/dancer), and Haechan (main vocal and also a member of Dream). My personal faves to get into them would be Simon Says, Limitless, Chain (a Japanese release), and Regular. Each subunit has their own 'sound' and personality and 127's is definitely more hiphop/experimental than the others.
Taeyong, Doyoung, and Jaehyun were in this video. Taeyong started it 00:01:43 , Jaehyun comes next at 00:01:50, and then Doyoung is the vocalist at 00:02:10.

This group NCT and the group before this that you were reacted was EXO are from the same company, SM Ent. Artists from SM Ent are known for their great vocals. For amazing vocals I would recommend NCT U - From Home.
It's easier to learn the members or keep track if you think of them/learn them in their individual sub units rather than as one whole. And as everyone mentioned, NCT U is a rotational unit with different members depending on what concepts fit them so some songs have 2 members, others 5, 7 etc.

If I think I understand you correctly, then the answer to your first question is: no, NCT U songs do not contain all the members. Every member is “automatically” part of U sub-unit, yes, but each release will have different numbers of different members from any of the sub-units mixed and matched - one track may contain only 3 vocalists cause it’s a ballad…another track may have 7 members which consists of four from 127, one from Dream, two from WayV…yet another track may require 4 members which includes three rappers and one vocalist…and so on. This is what it means by “whoever fits the concept” when we’re talking about NCT U.
When ALL 23 members get together (your last question): is when they identify themselves as “NCT [insert year]”. This was initiated in 2018 with NCT 2018’s release of BLACK ON BLACK…where all of them (at the time only 18 in total) showcased a united and in-sync choreography accompanied by fire beat that one big influencer youtuber even immediately played it out in real live krump battle website. NCT 2019 could not happen due to various busy promotions and 127’s world tour. Last year NCT 2020 regrouped and released not only a single performance video, but a whole full-length two-parts album, with a final performance called RESONANCE consisting of remixed medley of 4 songs from the album: MAKE A WISH, 90’S LOVE, WORK IT and RAISE THE ROOF.
How do NCTzens (their fandom name, pronounced like n-citizens) keep up? with full contentment :)) this is the most active group where every day they post many documented activities whether VLive (live interaction with fans through an app), spoof videos, music reaction videos, tiktok dance challenges, variety show series, single releases, cooking segments, plane-flying sessions, live musical at theater, DJ nights…just like their music, fans are very well fed with contents from these diverse and multi talented men.
Speaking of music: they are well known for their “versatility and experimentality”. If you’re taken aback by this song you just reacted to, you will be even more when you reacted to the others, because each track is uniquely different than the next one in terms of theme, beat, genre, instrumental, production etc. Their experimental trademark is known to create weird yet addictive sounds which requires even fans whose ears are used to their music, to do multiple listens before they can follow the song. NCT and Exo are under the same company/ label called SM Entertainment/ SM Town which is maybe why you felt a similar vibe because both groups are amazing, some NCT members and Exo members and Shinee (another popular group under SM entertainment) are in a group together (made up of 7 members) they are called SuperM and they are known as the avengers of kpop so they are kind of like an all star group with fans favourites from the 3 different groups (Shinee popular 2nd gen group, Exo popular 3rd gen group and NCT a popular 4th gen group who all trained and work under the same company. They’re music and music videos are amazing, so you should check them out!!

How I remember all the 23 members? Aside from them being divided to sub units, their interactions are really fun too because most of the members have known and grew up together for 10 years and they just effortlessly funny. There's 3 major sub units (aside from NCT U for special projects) such as NCT127 as the parents, NCT Dream the children and WayV literally like their noisy cousins from China, when they combined together for the second time last 2020 was just pure fun and chaotic. Anyway, talking about sub-units.. its actually an SM thing. Groups from SM entertainment usually have subunits, including EXO. EXO has EXO SC (consists of Sehun and Chanyeol, EXO’s raplines), EXO CBX (Consists of EXO’s vocal lines, Chen Baekhyun Xiumin), and EXO-M (the chinese based subunit).

They work under JYP entertaiment. They are one of the biggest group in Kpop. Your first reaction will probably be like ,that's to cute/girly' but they really work hard and in 2019 they released 2 mini albums and a japanese full Album.
