Most of the radiation didn't stick around too long after the explosion. Within 24hrs about 80% was emitted, and the radiation left over continued to decline rapidly. I'm sure there is still radiation left over from the nuke, but the levels are so minuscule that it's practically nonexistent.

The atom bomb was detonated 500m above ground so it did not contaminate the ground as much as if it was a ground level disaster like Chernobyl.
