For people in Andhra Pradesh are most lucky as Isuzu getting straight off Road-tax waived off due to Govt benefits offering to Isuzu in setting up factory. One can spend 2lks extra to bring beasty look by upgrading tyres, suspension and boosting up extra power by Remapping the ECU.

The best part is every critical component like electronics, fuel injector, transfer case, transmission, and battery are water proof !!! and have very good insulation from mud.

Ain't that an industry standard? I've never met someone taking their 4x4 to the shop for waterproofing the battery lines, long as you got a snorkel you can ford a river.

What is the different between the LS and this model
GM uses Isuzu platform for its low cost trucks and suvs...this is the best SUT money can buy, if you can't afford landcruiser, than buy this one
Actually, it's quite the opposite. Isuzu D-Max is built in GM's factory in Thailand and is a Chevrolet Colorado since the splitting of the Rodeo. Isuzu use their own bulletproof engine 3L/2.5L mated to an outsourced transmission for both their manual and auto counterparts. Chevrolet uses a VM Motori engine (Italian) which Chevrolet have mated to their own GM 6 speed transmission and have outsourced for the manual counterpart.

but its sad that isuzu introduced this model just this year while at other country its been since 2014. we got facelift version already this year here in south east asia.
nevertheless i love dmax. already bought my 2nd one. the suspension is very comfortable at low and high speed compared to 2016 hilux and 2016 ranger.even tho power rating is low compared to others, i dont feel the difference IRW.

i live in delhi and i am thinking about it , or some other options like it?
The ex-showroom price is 12.5 lakh in Delhi. On road, it will come to about 14 odd lakhs. Isuzu does not have too many service centres right now, but in big cities like Delhi this is not an issue. There is one in Kirti Nagar and one in Noida, Sec 63. Other pickup options include the Mahindra Getaway (new facelift is coming soon) and Tata Xenon. Waiting period is not much for the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross - about 14-20 days max.

Haha. In India, we should call it the "Cow" Test! Given the way it handles, I don't think it should have an issue (unlike the Hilux, which is quite scary).

Colorado and d'max didn't use the same engine, the d'max being more durable and tougher and the colorado being more powerful

Yes, companies like ARB and Eaton make differential locks for the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. Some are cable operated, some are electrically operated, some air operated and some models mechanically activated upon detecting wheel slip.
