- The United States accused Russia of using chemical weapons “as a method of warfare” against Ukraine. Additionally, the US Department of State said Russia had also used “riot control agents,” or tear gas, during the war in violation of the CWC. Shortly after the US claim, the Kremlin denied the accusation that Russian forces in Ukraine had violated an international ban on chemical weapons. Washington’s accusations came after a Russian diplomat accused the US of facilitating chemical warfare in Ukraine.

Perhaps, US can encourage US companies (by offering tax incentives) to relocate (or down size) their manufacturing from China to other countries like Vietnam, Taiwan and Philippines. This strategy not only diversifies risks but to ensure any manufacture in China is only for local Chinese markets, whereas manufacture in V, T & P are meant for exports to US & the world. China cannot afford an economic recession which can snowball to its property markets and financial sector.
