Thank God it was the resselers as i missed F.R.i.E.N.D.S. Central perk caffe. The appartmens i get for myself but the Central perk caffe is the coolest one.
If you actually buy as an investment, shelf space and shipping fees are things that are really important. Going for these big expensive sets are probably less profitable than buying individual pieces or CMFs for the same money.
As a LEGO investor, I can tell you that the Star Wars sets do NOT always do well. There is actually only about 50% of the Star Wars sets that appreciate to any significant level.
@@henribg1 I wouldn't say that. It really has more to do with how many versions exist and how improved the latest version is. Are there unique minifigs? Does the new version look WAY better than the previous? Is it the first time that set has been made? Are there other sets that "match" that one to make it a sub-category? Such as the helmets
I am sorry to see the El dorado fortress with such a short shelf life... I hope it did ok for Lego but I know it had some problems, which is why it was not a must have for me. (since I already have the OG on display... which BTW was my most played with set as a kid, and too many pieces for the base) I have to spend wisely and am just into more of the medieval stuff. Which the LIons knight castle in my opinion is the greatest set ever made. In terms of universal and timeless appeal, size, beauty, fun for all ages and sexes, 4 factions of minis, and everything, playability and display. I hope they have something else to replace it. This set alone got me back into LEGO after 25 years so that is something pretty special...
What problems? It's better than the original in EVERY way. And I'm a 90s kids so that era is nostalgic for me. I have alongside my 89 black seas Barracuda
I think the problem this set has is fr too many bricks are put in the rock base compared to fortress size. It looks beautiful but a little less balanced. But the major thing is that it is such a copy of the OG that for me who has the original on display with the baracuda does not make a lot of sense to double up on the same thing, even though the long version looks most interesting. That is the major reason I haven't picked it up. Its a fantastic set for anyone without them though. @@patrick_do
@jacobelmslie3862 True, if I had the original I wouldn't double on the new one. I didn't have the original and wanted something to pair with my Barracuda so the the buy made sense. Especially getting it for 160 versus retail of 215. The rock pieces kinda had to be that way since those raised base plates are a thing of the past
Just get the minifigures and exclusive prints like a flag from PaB. You can get the bricks and parts then later anytime from other sources, instructions will be free anyway. You can cut a sail from thick paper. Thats what I plan on doing. I think its way too expensive at full price and I also don't like some of the colours.

the box and stuff like that is really valueable to fans
@@Isak_c not enough to make up for shelf-space-cost. If you happens to have a lot of space then no problem ofc.

I expected the castle to last another year since they released Medieval Village, which goes with it

the problem about cantina will be 100 % they gonna reprint on time all the exclusives minifigures in new sets, so they can make money again
no, the unique minifigures are mostly aliens that only appeared in a few scenes
Tbe stickers are such a put off for me.
I thought maybe Lego Titanic would be here.
Only the Porche 911 is a winner rest just meh hard to sell
Time will tell
