Nice hardy strain for sure and great info. . I grew many of those from seed nearly 20 years ago. I got the seed from Kiril in Bulgaria. They are nice palms. Yours look awesome
I see that you said planting it Aaron's 18 inches from the wall is what you were going to do. I am getting two of them this week, one 5 ft and one 7 ft. I want to plant them at the 2 front corners of my house. I'm in 7b. I don't want the fronds rubbing against our touching my house. What do you recommend?
I Answered you on PT. About 66 inches is what I recommended there based on what you said. Here I am trying to take advantage of the heat from the wall in winter as I am slightly too cold for these palms some years.
And so sorry for having to double answer, I went on PT after asking you here because I thought it was an old video of yours so you may not answer it as many TH-camrs seem to not answer questions posted on super old visit. But thank you anyway!
We are getting ready to plant a Windmill palm from a 10 gallon pot I’ve had since last fall. We live in 7B Arkansas. Rock ground and clay! I know I will have to protect it from cold temps (I have done it this winter already). It has been doing great. I hope we transplant it successfully. Any other helpful suggestions? Dig the whole and drop it in? What about fertilizer? I think I read not to fertilize…Is this correct? Thank you!!
Don't plant into a rocky hole if that's what you're asking. Clay is fine and you can plant in April or so there and fertilize with a slow release fertilizer like osmocote outdoor or palmgain within a couple weeks if this is a potted palm.
Was about to plant a windmill palm in joke about the same size as the one in the bud but there is a big rock at the bottom and I’m worried it will be bad for the palm
These videos are great I’m glad and get why you do it, love seeing how peoples gardens develop over time, keep it up
Thanks and keep making great movies! I just saw your movie on HBO MAX keep up the good work!
I think you might be able to squeeze another one in there lol. Looking forward to seeing how it does!
Very nice Allen

Thanks you have a lot of great palms up there!
@@tntropics Thanks. Trachycarpus certainly like it, that is for sure. It has been a long dry summer and the gardens are needing rain
Hello beautiful palm 🌴 😍 and thank you
Great video man.... thanks for sharing your knowledge of these awesome plants...!

Thanks man, appreciate your post a lot, just bought 25seeds from these Trachycarpus Bulgaria ( I’m in Blg )
nice
There’s always a spot for another palm!
Palm nuts are always looking for a bare spot to throw in a palm.
I couldn't agree with you more lol 👍😁🌴
Guilty 😂
Thanks !!

@@tntropicsso if it’s in the ground don’t fertilize at all? for the same amount of time? what about rooting hormone?
Vid has a typo in it, did you spot it?

Yea don't plant on top of a rock. Insure at least 2 foot down and to the sides.
Nice microclimate
