    Hi Jerome. I had a similar issue on my pomegranite, the entire trunk died off, but as I was about to give up I had 2 suckers growing from the base. Ive now twisted these around the main trunk and am almost trying to make it a tanuki with the suckers growing up the dead main trunk. So far so good! 😁

    Awesome job as usual. I would love to see regular updates on this project if possible. Pomegranates are difficult to grow. They are super moody. Nice work

      Thank you CK! They are moody, and remind me of Bucida Spinsa ( Black Olive).

    Very informative! Didn’t know trees could fruit if unhappy. Hope it survives! Also in south Florida. I started getting into bonsai just 2 months ago but I’ve learned a lot from your videos & IG.Shame you left FL! 😄

      Thank you Bayardo for the nice comments! Trees generally fruit and flower for two reasons, either they are super happy or super stressed out.

    I enjoy the rescue missions! They can often result in trees with a lot of character.

      I agree with you! They seem to make naturally good future bonsai trees:)

    Very cool Jerome! It will be interesting to see how the live vein twists over time, and how that interacts with the deadwood which can’t twist…

    I hope the tree makes it! It looks like it could end up being a really interesting tree.

      I really hope so too! I have to be very careful with this tree over the Winter, and make sure it doesn't drop below 26 degrees Fahrenheit or it isn't in any direct wind.

    Can you make an adenium care for winter tips and sorts for the community. Not much out there and ive been watching your channel recently regarding adenium. Also are selling cuttings of your specimens?

    Someone put up a greenhouse. What do you think the odds of the tree recovering are as the dieback seems pretty extreme? 50/50?

    Ii was wondering why some trunks of pomegranate bonsai are twisted.....from your video did i understand it right that the twisting of trunk occurs naturally & not manipulated at younger stage?

  • @jimporter
    @jimporter 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Surprised you didn’t take the tree from the pot to see if there is something eating the roots. Something has caused the die back.
