Would you like to study with me - I currently have a few spaces available for Skype/FaceTime students wishing to develop their jazz piano playing. These lessons are for students who can read music and have started to explore improvisation a little. Lessons are structured to your own needs and aspirations. More info and contact details here. www.paulwilkinson.co.uk/correspondence.htm

Thank you so much for this one, it will help me for the rest of my life, incredible! ❤
I love Time Rememered with Scott La Faro, it sounds like it was made in another dimension, such an great vibe...
The same goes for My Mans Gone Now with Scott, unbelievable, i listen to it every day, right now in Autum with the scenery it brings tears to my eyes...so powerfull!

This is so inspiring. I am just an intermediate player but was immediately able to apply these concepts to my playing of this lovely ballad. What a difference! Thanks so much.

I like the 1-5-9-10 idea, that's basically Californication from chilly peppers.

I’ve been a bit stuck using 1 5 7/8 in LH. Now practicing jumping the thumb and whole hand up to a higher position and riffing then returning pinky to bass again sounds much richer.

You could try this fingering if I understand you correctly. EG in C major. C5 G2 B1 higher C 2. The finger two passing over the thumb.
