Very cool way to think about applying this technique. I believe as keyboard players, we’re always “looking” for visual patterns that can simplify the application of devices to all keys. Somewhat more intuitive than play over Lydian, Dorian, Mixolydian modes.
You're welcome. No, not Bill Evans in the Intro/Outro. It is an original tune (called ATHREETHIRTYTHREEHUNDRED), but it is a tune where you can use the principles. You can find it on our website (link in the description)
@@Gjermund-Sivertsen I was referring to my own need to emulate Bill in his ways, of course. I would never dare to insinuate that you'd need drugs to play as you do 🤔 But seriously, there are tons of videos about how to play like the great Mestro and most involve complicate music theory whereas you gave us a simple but effective tool explained concisely that can be applied right away.
Congratulations and thank you very much for sharing this. There are not many teachers who, through a single and simple lesson, can make the student / apprentice quickly improve their level, in the beautiful challenge of playing the piano.
this moving triad opens alot of new possibilities, i will check out your cafe jazz and block chord tutorial again, really high quality content. Thank you👌
actually, appriciate to look at your playing, comping, how you voice the chords, the jazzy way, perhaps the scandinavian way..the tip is very usefull, but i would love to learn the scandinavian style of jazz, very modest and lyric, like your compositions..thanks, mikael
WOW, so many piano videos I watch but this one I can actually walk to my piano within 5 minutes and easily perform this tip. Thanks!
Wonderful! 🎹😃
Beautiful sounds.

So these are chord tones & extensions. Cool. I've already started using incorporating them into my music. Thank you!

What About Diminished Augmented ??
Is there a rule (or do one the these three rules work) for minor 6 chord? Thank you for taking your time and sharing !
Killer!
Modos gregos em ação 😊
Yes
perhaps lydium in triades Major and Mixolidium in triades minor, and intervals of 4, really? thank you Master!
Just think, your playing in F. If your on the II chord, G minor, you will play the triads of F major. There is no need to think of modes.
The biggest trick Evans pulled is learning how to play whilst absolutely stoned out of his mind on heroin.
Yes, unfortunately he was addicted. A pioneer regardless of his struggles
Hi 😂
