I remember my Grandad was ‘into’ blacksmithing & I’d man (@ 7-10yrs Young: I’m 60 now!) the hand-crank billow to heat the iron ~ just being with him & doing that 50-years ago was awesome/great memories!! Watching your work & skill happily brought that all back...thank YOU! The way you talk about your passion with blacksmithing is what kept me watching ‘til the last second. BTW, my Grandad Owned & Ran His Sawmill (he did Southern Ga Yellow-heart Pine from OLD local warehouses), by hand, ‘til he was 78yrs. I guess those 2 professions run hand-in-hand, imho! Again, thx for bringing those great memories back - don’t know why I rambled, but your videos are excellent!!! Keep Heatin’🇺🇸
I’ve just started working with spikes making different things and a lot have twists. I currently have been using a pipe wrench to do my twists which sometimes leaves marks and or slips. I love the tool you use. I’m stealing that idea. Thanks.
I gata say, its always a pleasure to watch you work. No flair, no melodrama, just efficient work. And thank you for all the help you have given to the many charity's. You are a hell of a good dude and one badass blacksmith. Keep up the good work.
Great Video John! Just something simple yet most bottle opener tutorials you see aren't with a railroad spike. It was neat to see your take on it. Thanks.!
I have a feeling ill be watching you for a long time. I just started blacksmithing after I got my associate's in welding. I absolutely love everything about blacksmithing and you make it look so easy. Thanks for making videos (:

Very nice idea, I was just given about 100 spikes and I’m tired of making knives with them. Thanks for video hammer on
Totally badass video thank you for taking the time
Love your work! You're the reason I got into blacksmithing. Keep on heating and beating brother.
Once again thank you for your guidance

Thanks
Thanks ! I’ve been trying to get the end correct for a few days... you just paved the way. Awesome video

Nice bottle opener. Not hitting hammers together is an old wives tale. Next they'll say don't hit a chisel.
First comment second one to watch hahaha
A Real Man™ uses his teeth, or what's left of them to open bottles.
