The thing is Jalen was doing these things even when Sengun was playing. We were 4-1 with Sengun playing, and Jalen was putting up the same numbers. Jalen just started hitting his shots. I'm so tired of the media pushing this narrative that Jalen and Sengun can't play together.
Exactly. This is a nonsense narrative that they need to have a talking point. It's nonsense and low i.q.. Ime Runs the offense and Sengun dosnt. It isn't spacing, these guys weren't shooting well all season and that's what the difference is and prior to Senguns injury Green was shooting better.
The fact that they don't even try to explain why Green was shooting poorly before now outside of saying it's all senguns fault should tell anyone all they need to know. Jalen was inefficient because Jalen was inefficient. If Jalen was playing better Coach wouldve run the offense through Jalen earlier in the season, 😂these people are a joke not to mention that ironically coaches Celtics starting playing wayyy better the second half of the season too.
They are casual 😂 they only notice teams when they winning. They didn't see the process.

The addition of VanVleet has changed the projection of this team.
Just wish that Van Fleet can take over for Jalen Green offensively when he's having an off-game but he's not as reliable as he once was. Still a good playmaker though and a good leader for the team 🙏🏻

I'm more surprised with the Thunder. They were our bottom bros but look where they are now.
You clearly hadn't been following the team, or forgot how good a coach Ime is. The reasonable goal from the start of the season was making the play-in, and Sengun making the all-star game. Sengun got snubbed, and they hit a rough patch facing a bunch of play-off bound teams. They've used a soft part of their schedule to recover, and Jalen Green actually playing like the number 2 overall pick to give themselves a shot of meeting that goal.

This status needs to be earned in multiple playoff seasons. Right now he's not even a full star yet. But I'd give him NBA Player of the Month of March. Now he needs to prove March is no fluke by continuing this play in April.
In my opinion, a "star" is an engine that can get you through the regular season. A "superstar" is an engine that elevates their game in the playoffs, and demonstrates that they can go toe-to-toe with the best when competition is at its highest.
Alperen and Jalen have shown that they're star caliber players, but they haven't made it to the post season enough to confidently say they're superstars.
