What a calm, fun morning! I loved that trick to unhook the catfish... do you think it's like an amusement part ride for him? Not to mention even though it may have been small you can always brag about the cat that broke the hook (and maybe neglect to mention it's actual size). #FishTales

Peacock bass not having the hump on the head DOES NOT automatically make it a female. They all normally don't have the hump. The hump usually appears when they are in spawning mode or are defending a territory.

Living in the N. GA. Mtn"s and love fishing you don't have to go far to find a tackle shop. The wife and I were in Clayton, Ga. and stopped in the Reeves Hdwe new Fly Shop looking around and found a magazine. The Angler Magazine greater augusta and csra edition. Looks who is on the front cover. Darcizzle holding up a huge fish. Great picture girl, gorgeous as ever.
Great fresh water action! Try rigging the live bait placing the hook just behind the eyes barely beneath the tough dorsal skin horizontally. This method allows the bait to swim freely without the hook directing the bait towards the rod. I learned how to do this 25 years ago and it enables a much more lively bait that is not drawn towards the rod. Old habits are sometimes difficult to change. I guarantee you will catch more fish rigging all live baits this way.
