    Darcizzle,Puddin, See you guys got a Mercury Outboard on your flats boat. Puddin if you have a silver EPA gasoline going to that Engine,Puddin change that to a automobile Gasoline. Ethonal in Gasoline eats the inner inner of the EPA{Silver} line and when your motors gets to plane it cuts off the Gas. Prayers sent for Darci,Brian

    Puddin', I admire your support of your beautiful and competent fishing companion. I too am married to a very smart and competent woman. I also do all the cooking here since I work from a home office and have for 25 years. However, I draw the line at laundry! LOL

    Whenever I catch a largemouth bass wherever I fish at, I always release them back to the water. Hope you guys are doing awesome and we love you guys, Darci. Keep in touch, y'all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Are you finding less largemouth where there are clown knife fish? According to FWC they are damaging the largemouth bite in smaller systems and are concerned about bigger ones in the future.

    I wouldn't worry about a little blood on your boat, it's a fishing boat, a little mess can be cleaned up easy enough, my dad's boat was always a mess after every use, he'd stop at a car wash and hose it down, really like the interaction between you guys.

    I just found out that Florida imported the peacock bass not as a gamefish, but to clean out all the cichlids that people released into Miami's canals. The peacocks were so successful that the FWC transplanted them to other south Florida water systems. The FWC is not too crazy about the invasive clown knife fish though. They are over-competing with natives and wiping out smaller fish in many watersheds including young largemouth bass.

    • @swkelley
      @swkelley 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The peas aren't doing a very good job a controlling the cichlids as they are EVERYWHERE. And did you know peas are cichlids also?

    • @MountainFisher
      @MountainFisher 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@swkelley Yes, I knew they were the largest of cichlids wit one possible exception. The largest species in the Peacock bass genus is the speckled peacock bass (C. temensis), reaches up to 13 kg (29 lb) in weight and 1 m (3.3 ft) in length, possibly making it the largest species of cichlid. [But others suggest that maybe the African giant cichlid, Boulengerochromis microlepis is the biggest, but I think the peacock beats it out.]
      Problem is, is that where the peacock and clown are found, bass and sunfish populations suffer, sometimes drastically. Fortunately they are both tropical fish and can only get so far North or we'd have another snakehead problem. Game Wardens despite the wishes of charter boat owners would prefer they not throw Clown Knifefish back as they tend to wipe out sunfish/crappie populations and a big one can eat maturing largemouth up to 12".

    • @swkelley
      @swkelley 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MountainFisher snakehead problem? There is no problem. Research has found they aren't having the impact once believed, thus the reason why catch and release is perfectly legal.

    I always wanted to catch some beautiful Peacock Bass. Y'all make it look so easy! Thanks for the great content! Just out of curiosity, I've noticed for quite awhile now that Darcizzle is always wearing some kind of booties and not her (past) usual barefoot or flip flops....I was just wondering why? Did you hurt your feeties? Grundens now makes some awesome flip flops with traction on boats.

      Peacock bass are one of the easiest fish to catch, hell, they'll even hit a bare hook.

      Nongame fish may be taken:
      With pole and line or rod and reel and by bush hook, setline or trotline baited with cut bait or other substance; but not including live game fish or any part of any game fish; bush hooks, setlines or trotlines (limited to 25 hooks total) are permitted for taking nongame fish for personal use, but only in those areas where trotlines may be lawfully used in accordance with the Wildlife Code of the State of Florida. Refer to the "Commercial Freshwater Fisheries Rules and Regulations Summary". Bush hooks, setlines and trotlines must be clearly and legibly marked with the harvester's name and address while being used or possessed in or upon the waters of the state.
      At night by bow and arrow and gigs.
      During daylight hours by manually operated spears, gigs, snatch hooks, crossbow or bow and arrow from a boat or from shore except at the spillways of the Eureka and Rodman dams on the Oklawaha River or on the spillway of the Jim Woodruff Dam on the Apalachicola River or in Dade County canals south of the C-4 and east of the L-31N and L-31W canals inclusively.
      By the use of cast nets in the South and Northeast regions, in Citrus County, and in the Southwest Region, except that possession or use of cast nets in waters adjoining Saddle Creek Fish Management Area, Polk County, confined by Morgan Combee Road, U.S. Highway 92 and Fish Hatchery Road are prohibited.
      Using a bow and light at night. Night bowfishing tournaments do not require a permit in the Northwest Region.
